Hello again RIU, it's been a while since I've posted but I'm back :D

My last grow was not as successful as I had hoped, the main reason being too many plants and not enough light. This time around I decided to buy a multi-spectrum bulb and it's working great so far.

04/08: I started with 2 fem Burmese x OG beans from TH Seeds, both germinated & sprouted but one was very droopy and sad looking so I put it out of its misery after about a week :( The remaining plant is very healthy and started showing pistils 2 days before I switched to 12/12, so I have high hopes for her.

05/03: I started flowering at exactly 3 weeks of age, until now I've only been feeding small doses of Age Old Grow every other watering, and I'm gradually working in the bloom nutes. My previous grows all started getting yellow tips and rust spots on the leaves after about 5 weeks, so I'm trying to go very easy on nutes from now on.

05/11: As you can see I've done some stress training to help the branches get more light. She is starting to get bushy :D I took a few cuttings in rockwool but I don't know if they will survive =( I'll post pics as soon as they take root.

I'll try to update this journal at least once a week so please subscribe if you like what you see! Comments and suggestions are welcome I need all the help I can get.

:leaf:nice looking plant ya have there! I stared the plant on my thread out at 12/12 so i need to wait at least a few more days and let i get some height...think i should try the pinning of the stem or tie down the branches? I really think this method your doing would work great:weed:

I start by tying the stalk down just a little and let it heal for a few days. When it starts growing vertical again I tie it down a few nodes higher until it starts growing horizontal. You don't have to tie the branches but it doesn't hurt :D

kick ass, think i could go ahead and slighty tie the stem down now or wait a few days? Also i know this off topic but could you give me yout thoughts on my girls/ I think i overwatered and over nuked them. They were very healthy a few days ago hem they started looking like this. The bottoms look overwatered and limp and the tops are crispy and burnt looking. The last pic shows how good they looked jus 5 days ago..Any input would help!!:leaf:

definately looks over-watered to me, how often do you water/feed?

I use FoxFarm OceanForest soil and Age Old Organics liquid fertilizer. Organic baby :D I guess I should've mentioned that in the OP

05/14 (Day 11): She is almost 5 weeks old so I thought I'd post another update. I think the stretch is almost over, preflowers are starting to pop up everywhere :D The older fan leaves are getting brown tips again, but nothing too serious. if anyone knows whats causing it please let me know!

I picked up som foxfarm ocean forest and big blooms, transplanted them into the new soil and watered lightly with a touch of the nutes. I look at them today and they still look sad, had to cut some more leaves off them, KILLING ME! They are my 1st ever plants and i want them to survive. Just hoping they make it...and helpful hints or suggestions? My LST plant is looking awesome, i also put it in foxfarm soil..

majek: your plant is looking great. I'll be following your grow because I'm very interested in growing this strain. Gotta use up by CH9 beans first.

thanks bongmarley :D I'm liking the strain so far, she takes stress very well and branches out nicely. This grow is mainly just an experiment, I have 3 more BK beans I'm saving for next time.

I was waiting for the 7 week mark before I posted again but here's another update.

05/24 (Week 1 flower): She stretched quite a bit the first 2 weeks but its all bud growth from here :D I'm trying to keep all the branches even with the canopy I think I did pretty good. I'm having a few drainage issues but I gave her a nice heavy watering yesterday.

Looking great. I think I'm going to LST my plants like yours because I'll be trying to grow 2 plants in a 2 x 2 x 4 tent using a 150w HPS. At about how many nodes, did you start tying the stalk down? I can't wait to see those bud sites grow nice nuggets.

A tent is my next investment I need one badly. When she was about 7 nodes tall I tied in between the 4th/5th node. After that I keep tying it down until the branches start growing higher than the mainstem. I've tried other methods but this seems to work the best without stressing the plant too much

Happy memorial day everyone, time for another update!

05/31 (Week 2 flower): Lots of tiny buds starting to show up everywhere :D I'm going to trim some of the bottom leaves/branches that don't get much light, I'll take new pics when I do.
5 1/2 weeks to go, more updates coming soon...

I use a spreadsheet to keep track of my feeding schedule, its not very accurate but it helps me remember when to water :D

AOG = Age Old Grow
AOB = Age Old Bloom
ES = Epsom Salt

To keep it simple I water every other day and feed bloom nutes every other watering, and I add a small amount of epsom salt to every other feeding since AOB is low in magnesium. If she looks thursty or over-watered I might alter the schedule a bit but not much.

Damn, your plant is really coming together nicely. Can't wait to see those buds mature. I'm definitely going to try LST next grow. How tall is your plant right now?
