also, i have started co2 today. originally the producer just shot co2 into the top back corner of the box, i figured a good deal of it was getting straight out so i pinholed a line, sealed it at the end and ran it through the middle of the res trayIMG_6834.jpg

exactly what maphisto said!! it is an excellent unit for someone who has never grown before, and the unit is built really well with high quality components. the wiring looks like it could have come out of the sony factory, it is that professional. but heat is definitely an issue. mine is currently running during the day, but my next crop will be at night. I have the door to the producer open with a portable air conditioner pointed at it. I also have the vents from the lights ducted into a 6 inch 450cfm vortex fan that vents out the bottom of my shed. on the plus side, when the cold weather comes it will do a nice job of warming the shed. as for noise, it is not a lot of racket, but certainly it would be equal to a 15 year old refrigerator that is constantly on, and if you add a vortex fan that is like a hair dryer on low. I picked mine up for $1800 with all the nutes. I could not have bought all the components for that much up here in canada, and the people at bcnl have been very helpful when i have called them with questions. I am very happy with mine, but i think however someone sets one up they will have to tailor there situation a bit to suit it. mine is now set up great!!!
Thanks for the insight. I actually picked my Producer up already and have started my first grow as well.

I'm going with Super Critical for this first round.

I hope all is well with your roots!

ugh- slime came back- cleaned everything with h2o2 and then bleach- new tea, slime came back- dropped in mega tea, a cup a day after original 10, it seems to be working but i am adding ridomin on friday to lay down some destruction. this is going to be a pretty small crop due the damage my roots suffered

haven't posted in a while because the slime has got me down- i tried everything, it kept coming back- i have definitely suffered some root damageand my plants have been stunted, but i am seeing some decent flowers. I have been using heisenberg tea for a while with limited results but i think this was because my res temp was too low-63, i hace got my res temp into the low 70's and the tea seems to be working better, it's been two days- fingers crossed

I finally beat the slime with heisenberg tea but it was too late for this crop- they were very stunted. After drying i got 4.5 oz. I am starting again with fresh clones and a few changes to the box. I also built a clone/mother room in my shed. here's hoping round 2 is better, but i certainly learned a lot this time- and thanks to all who offered help
