1st Grow - OG Kush - Final Week - Are we there yet?

Good job mate! Don't worry about the light colored buds that didn't get much light. You can leave them go for a week or two after you chop the tops that are shading them or chop it all at once but either way, once they are cured out they'll still have some flavor with some punch. They just won't have much density.

It is just one plant. started under a 250w floro, then to 600w mh and switched to 600w hps bulb for flower. I will get an under-canopy pic when it's time for the light to come back on. not much room between soil & canopy and have to use a 2 gallon sprayer with the spray tip removed to water/feed.

Thanks Moldy, I was gonna try leaving those buried ones a bit longer but with no nutes in the soil i doubt she is gonna do much more.

I would give her a light feeding of cal mag and some seaweed juice for a couple more weeks if it were me. I don't claim to be an expert, but I feed mine lightly the last 3 weeks until harvest. I feel like it gives them that extra boost to finish well, especially when you've already been withholding nutes. I've never had any flavor issues from not flushing. She is beautiful! I am running a Blimburn Og right now (a freebie). She's just starting the 4th week of flower, but so far I'm not all that impressed. You're either running a different OG or you got a much better pheno.

I been wanting to give her something since am told she has at least another week but Final Phase or someone told me not to. I have some Overdrive but alas, i know not what i doeth. The seed came from the bank associated with ilovegrowingmarijuana.com, i forget the name of it. Good luck with your grow bro!

Hi everyone, am trying to finish my first grow and could use some help determining when to harvest her. I have done a lot of reading but still feel uncertain about what i am looking at when it comes to trichomes and being color blind doesn't help much either.

Would you guys kindly help me determine peak thc ripeness? She is on day 52 of the 55 day seedbank estimate.
Still flushing, she gets distilled water tonight at lights on. last watering with Flawless Finish runoff = 160ppm./6.5pH. (in soil).

Help finishing this out greatly appreciated!
:D
Beautiful looking grow, but no - you're not there yet. The seed bank estimate means just that - an estimate. And it's usually short of the actual "due date". I agree with another poster, check the trichs on the buds, not the leaves. What I saw was looking 90% clear, and you really want to see some amber in there, how much amber you want is a personal preference.

Thanks for all the info and compliments, I sincerely appreciate the help. once i get through this first one i think i will be better able to gauge the finish and time the flush accordingly. I am sure i suffered a loss in yield because of early flushing.
Watered today:
2 Gals. Tap Water = 036ppm./6.3pH
Runoff = 070ppm./6.4pH (very little runoff)

@evergreengardener I spaced the under-canopy photo you asked for the other day so here are a couple pics for whatever reason.

Yes, it is my first one however, i did some homework before i began. just did not focus much on the finish. I must admit, I am very pleased with the way she has turned out so far. Just wish I had not botched the finish. I bet she would have put on more weight if i had not flushed too early. I think last watering, runoff was at 081ppm. and my tap water is 037ppm.

A lot can still go wrong.

Today is day 63, sure wish she would finish up.
I will post week-9 pics with some trichome shots and hopefully get some insight from you guys. Will do this when light goes out in the morning.
Until then... Blaze Up!

Dude shit is bad ass! Props! Canopy is bananas.
What was the veg time on that?
How far is your screen from soil?
Sorry if you've already said.
I need my canopy like that next time.

The flash failed me on this one but that tape is hung from a canopy string and the other end is sitting on the floor so there is no weight pulling it down. It is difficult to water that close and must use a sprayer with the spray nozzle removed: The soil level is at about the 4" mark.

Well guys, I did not do real well on photos today, flash is screwing with me and it is very hard to hold that usb scope steady, can i not just use a support leaf near the tops? I need to cut a piece off to get clear shots.

Can you guys see those clearly enough to tell anything?
Are we there yet?

Don't say that, although your right things could still go wrong… you should be confident in your finish touches you have helped up real well so far.

If you want to speed up finish….. idk what current bulb your using as i haven't read throughly through journal but if you went back to a m/h blue spectrum bulb that would help.

Cutting the day time down some as well would help a lot…. 11/13 or 10/14. You wouldn't be diminishing much yield at this point. Everyone has there own different opinions on these type of manipulating techniques but it does work. I only offer because you say you want them to finish already.
