1st Grow - OG Kush - Final Week - Are we there yet?

Hi everyone, am trying to finish my first grow and could use some help determining when to harvest her. I have done a lot of reading but still feel uncertain about what i am looking at when it comes to trichomes and being color blind doesn't help much either.

Would you guys kindly help me determine peak thc ripeness? She is on day 52 of the 55 day seedbank estimate.









Still flushing, she gets distilled water tonight at lights on. last watering with Flawless Finish runoff = 160ppm./6.5pH. (in soil).

Help finishing this out greatly appreciated!

Hold on... They have more than a week to go unless you want to harvest unmature herb... When I look at the trichomes from a side angle instead of looking at the top view I'm seeing crystal clear trichomes which is too immature. Keep using Flawless Finish or just plain water - don't go back to feeding them anything. I'm guessing you have at least 14 to 21 days to go. You will be happier waiting until you get at least 30 percent amber trichomes at harvest time. Good luck!

Also, I read a review of OG Kush saying estimated flowering to be around 8 weeks - That would make your day count go to 60 or more days to finish going by Royal Queen Seeds - Then if you go by "The Weed Blog," they are saying 9 weeks... Go by the color not the strain review and you will be sure of maturity.

14 to 21 days? wow, i began flushing way too soon. should just now be beginning it right?

Don't worry about it... I'm still learning something new almost every day after 14 years of growing! The plants will finish okay - My guess is the lack of nutrients in your plants will make most of the leaves fall off except the ones around the buds which will hurt the way they finish up potency wise, but they will turn out okay.

I must say the plants are looking killer! You will probably be very happy with the results.

Yep probably closer to 2 weeks left than one. And you don't judge your trich development on the leaf trichs. You want to check the trichs ok the calyx. You're not smoking the leaves.... I hope.

no, been tossing all leaves. may have to buy more smoke tho since it's gonna be that much longer. checking trichs on calyx may prove difficult at best with this usb scope i have. Will try it saturday.

Should i ramp the temps back up? am running 70F-73F Nights & 75F-78F Days with humidity as low as i can get it (40%-55%). Right now it is around 35%, which is unusually low.

Stop looking at your trichs and wait til all your hairs have changed color, then wait for the plumping foxtail stage haha. GL patience is a MOFO. Ive ran strains that could be pulled at 55, but never one that was done at 55. Always go 63 even with 8 weekers it makes a difference.

Wait until the white pistils on the buds have receded into the buds and the remaining ones turn into a amber colour, if you can't see the triches this should help you. Nice plants.

Ok, I will do as you guys say. I just gave her some water:
2 gals. aged tap = 036ppm./6.4pH.
Runoff = 130ppm./6.4pH.

Last few waterings I have been cutting a double handful of fan leaves each time to improve air flow in canopy and shit guys, there are bud-sites buried within that sticky gob-o-buds that we see on top... they are all yellow from no light. I shoulda got a pic of buried buds, its like another layer of sticky buds down in there! that canopy is dense.

Based on this, for future reference, how do i know when to begin flushing?

I will be using AN's - Overdrive 2 weeks before flushing with Final Phase (same as Flawless Finish - they just did a marketing name change) for the first time this grow. Look up several strain reviews on the strain your using. It will tell you how long flowering goes - Then watch the trics for color change...

Ok, will do. meanwhile I just gave her a drink and runoff was 081ppm./6.5pH.
I still should not feed anything? Will post pic update early sunday morning.

Will flushing too early like i did significantly impact yield?

Make sure you are looking at the trichs on the buds and not on a larger leaf.

I gave her a drink yesterday and here are the metrics:
2 Gal. Aged Tap = 036ppm./6.3pH.
Runoff = 101ppm./6.8pH.

I stopped checking trichs after being informed i had about 2 weeks to go. I will begin checking again when its a bit closer to day 63 i guess.

Thanx man! I started her from seed right about jan 1st. subtract 8 weeks of flower = veg time.

Look real good for your first grow dude. How many plants do you have in there? Lights?
