Forgot to put this last nice as well. For anyone who is using the basic Bubbleponics system from the company with their nutrient packs they send you, you need to know to go out and buy some Epsom Salt from the drug store when you change to the flowering stage or you will end up with a bunch of yellow leaves and a Magnesium deficiency. The best way to take care of this in a basic stealth hydro system is to add 1 teaspoon of Epsom Salt for every gallon of water in your rez. I myself usually add 6 teaspoons to the basic system since thats about how high I fill it.

Epsom Salt in that quantity will lead to nutrient lock-up. I used ES (many times) about 10 years ago on my first couple of DWC crops. I've gained some wisdom on this subject in my old age.
It is more advisable to use an additive like Botanicares Cal-Mag or something like that.

I don't know I'm doing something wrong, but I never add Epsom salts. Does my foxfarm nutes include these?

I use the 3 fox farms, with one fox farm soluable, and super thrive....but no epsom salts? am i missing something?

Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate, its normally used as a bath salt but it can easily be mixed into water and added to your resevoir to add magnesium to the nutes. I am still having problems with yellowing leaves though and I believe it has more to do with the stealth hydro nutrients I am using. The reason I have initially used the epsom salts was because I had a yellowing problem 3 and a half weeks ago with the leaves where it got to a really bad point with leaves dying everywhere and yellowing up and someone suggested I add epsom salt on cannabis culture so I did and it seemed to help. As of the current time I am looking into buying fox farm nutrients at the end of this week and making a change of nutrients completely. Right now besides that the plants are all looking really good as far as the bud sites starting up and I'm excited to snap you guys some pics in the next couple days..

BionicChronic: The Bubbler was $190, I bargained with em

i just built me a step it up stealth hydro tub... and a tent as a matter of fact. what i wanna know is, what in the hell is up with all that yellowing and curling of the leaves...? u think it has sum to do with that tent? i used reflective thermal insulation to make mine( think rigid mylar ) and i think imma say that a fogger would work just as well if not better than the pump and lines in the early stages. i have the pump and i never really plugged it in... the fogger supported growth until the roots got into tha solution and tha damn hub always gets clogged up too, real pain in the ass...

It is doubtfully to do with my tent as I just bought this from hydrofarm who is a well established hydro company and also that if you are referring to the recent indoor tent problems where people were having yellowing of leaves that is from "HydroHut" not "hydrofarm" which is what I use and is a different company, there is also the homebox as well. I think the yellowing has to do more with my nutes and also the fact that my tub is too small and is having trouble supporting the 4 plants. I am dropping the stealth hydro crap nutrients as soon as I have the money. For people wondering if its environmental here are the average temperatures and humidity.

Day/Light On: 78-82 degrees, 23%-45% humidity (uncontrolled)
Night/Light Off: 72-77 degrees, humidity 20%-40%

Once again for those who haven't read, there are no pests, there is no mold, there is no fungi, the roots are healthy, the light is not too close to the plants, the leaves just yellow and it drives me crazy!

P.S. Jordan this is the link to hydrofarms site and the tent I have if you want to look closer. Hydrofarm - Hydrofarm HA33 Habitat 33 - 3.5' X 3.5' X 6.6'

All my stuff for the indoor greenhouse was purchased at bustan here in toronto. I am using a 4" inline vortex fan that runs 172 CFM and sits near the top a bit to the side of the light to suck up the heat coming off of it, seen here: Bustan - Toronto Hydroponics Grow Lights Nutrients Hydroponic Supplies Canada I use 2 fans to circulate the air around the plants, the main fan is a stacked model that is 2 fans in one seen here: Canadian Tire and the other is a small vornado space heater I have that just has a fan option and is sitting in the other corner blowing more air around. I grew the plants in vegetative state in the rez for about 5 weeks or til the plants were about 12-20 inches tall.

Bionic in case you missed it again, $190 for the bubbler and it hits really smoothly

FLOWERING Update:

Day 43

So this is the weekly update, 1 day late mind you, I wasn't happy with the first pictures.

Forbidden fruit is doing really well as usual. Bud sites are really bulking up and you can see pistils all along the stems now. The buds are really starting to expand on it, she has thick ass pistils everywhere! Mystery Weed is actually looking really great as well and I think in a week will look as good as forbidden fruit. The mystery twins are both near the same height and just a bit smaller than forbidden fruit, their pistils are long and medium width. Moms weed is just taking her damned time! I thought she would be ahead of the game but so far it looks as though now mystery weed make take second in faster grower. She has super duper thin pistils that almost are like hairs they're so small. Moms weed has lost almost every fan leaf due to my nutrient problems a couple weeks ago and trying to compete with my giant forbidden fruit next to her. I am going to get the foxfarm nutrients soon and see if that maybe helps her out a bit changing to something different. I still get slight yellowing but the extent is not near what I have had in the past, I still add epsom salt to my nutrients to give it more magnesium. Here are this weeks pictures for all you who were waiting!

I am starting a new soil grow and will post the link on here soon, (it will appear in my signature soon) check it out!

i can see that the leaves are turning yellow and curling downward. Is that from temp problems?? mine are doing the same thing and i was wondering if thats whats going on. whats the temp like in there??

Geekin for future just go back a couple pages as I list this information on page 3.

Day/Light On: 78-82 degrees, 23%-45% humidity (uncontrolled)
Night/Light Off: 72-77 degrees, humidity 20%-40%

It "could be heat" but I doubt it as I keep it at a pretty consistent temperature at most times. Like I said I am changing the nutes soon and a lot of yellowing is leftover leaves from my initial yellowing attack weeks ago that have just spread as time has passed.

Thanks skunk, forbidden fruit is looking incredible above all of them. Next week I will be buying the new nutes too and hoping to make a difference in the way the girls look because I am now under the impression that my forbidden fruit is stealing the majority of nutrients for her buds from the other plants since she yellows the least and hardly at all and is so big and so far ahead of the other plants. Crossing my fingers to make a change soon! I also started an outdoor grow with my friend and a new indoor soil grow. Have 11 hopeful soil plants indoors, and 8 hopeful seed plants dropped in a guerilla grow today. Hope to hear more feedback guys!

I can't remember which thread I found this on, but if you leave the roots from any plants chopped in the tote it can effect the water in an adverse way. There is some kind of chemical that you can add that deals with it. But I cannot remember what that is either. I gotta stop reading this forum when stoned so I can remember this stuff.
