Since you are using cfl's, You shouldn't need too much. Some induction duct fans or Computer fans should do it but deffently need to start on reseaching Filtering the air so your whole house don't smell. And when they flower it will. But how you filter the air is a personal choice. I use a Carbon filter I bought at my local hydroponics store but There are other ways and some homemade things I seen on here that look like they would work.

ill probably look up something when i start to flower to vent the room. now for the lights i dont mind spending a couple hundred as long as what im getting is gonna be worth the price difference you know what i mean. i dont know tho i looked at those hps bulbs but i just dont know

so my little baby's are now three weeks old and im thinking about starting flower just so i can see and learn how that whole process works and next grow ill probably be doing something like 4-5 plants maybe 6 if i can figure out a good lighting setup but anyway here are my baby. also the third plant looks sickly compared to others but gets the same care so i dont get it. as always any advice is welcome. -Loupis

plants looking good homie...when u start you the flowering process, you plants will most likely double in size!

their looking good and healthy but still think you should let them grow a little bigger you got some good closet space. some dude has the same exact closet with 400 hps and thats it with a fan. he made a hole in the door and put a vent.

really i might have to look into a hps then cause i don't have to have the closet door closed smell not an issue lol i live in the middle of no where. yeah i was thinking originally i would let them veg 5 weeks but that means they will be huge and ill have to buy or make more cfl fixtures= more money spent. so next go around im def gonna get a more efficent light system with cfls on the side and what not how far away from plants does the hps have to be?

it depends which one you get, a 400 hps will be great for that closet and you could hang it on the roof of the closet to lower it or raise it as needed. but ill just hang it, it'll still do its job if you leave it in one place. thats all you'll need to fully grow whatever you want, except some tall ass sativa

so it does not matter with that light how far away from the plant it is? and can you use it in both veg and flowering?

with that space no it does not, its still going to do the job. and as for the veg an flower, alot of people go thru the hassle and money of buying a MH bulb for veg and a HPS for flowering but either one does the job nicely as long as you turn the lights 12/12 for flower. but the HPS light spectrum is way better and stronger, ive done the research. i had HPS bulbs in one room and MH in another, youll be surprised at the difference.

how many plants could you grow under a single like 430w or 400w hps? Just brought my baby's outside for a group photo i hope they dont turn out to be male cause if they do im gonna put them in the microwave lol.

how ever many you could fit in that closet, maybe 4-6 would be good. and they look great in the sun that sunlight is real good for them.

yeah i dont wanna leave them outside tho cause people told me i could get bugs and what not. you think im being paranoid about the bugs and they would be fine outside?

what to leave them permanent outside? its a 50/50 chance but i doubt it, maybe during the flowering stage yea but at that stage i dont think so. of course theres always sprays for those bugs

no not permanently outside i just mean leaving them outside for like 5 hours and then bringing them back in.

yea when you switch them to flower, youll start to see hair pistils in between the branches.
