This journal is being started to document an organic soil perpetual grow. Numerous strains are being used to find the best 5 mothers out of the genetics at hand. I dont have a huge grow area but enough I believe to get this job done and to start harvesting some primo organic meds by December.

Strains:

Hog, spoetnik#1, Whiteberry, sour diesel, massechusetts super skunk, hindu skunk, green crack, blue dream, Chocolate chunk, grape ape, romulan, LA confidential, G13 x haze, G13, sensi Jack Herer and there will be 2 or 3 more strains coming this week.

Ive only flowered 3 strains, Hog, whiteberry and spoetnik#1. All three have thier different ups and downs. The hog makes the most beautiful light amber golden honey oil. Whiteberry makes some really dank buds but not enough of them. Spoetnik is nice but in comparison to these other strains I might have to retire it.

I just germed 5 of the best jack herer seeds I got and it looks like all 5 popped. The rest of the strains are from clone.

Grow Space:
VEG:

26"d x 50" l x 18" t. seedling/clone area illumined by 4 tube t5 HO fixture.

26"d x 50" l x 4' t. 400MH

BLOOM: sunhut xl 4x4x7 grow tent 1000HPS
Temps in the tent usually stay around 80 - 83f. I get the HPS pretty close to the canopy. I bought a thermal heat shield to contain any raidiating heat from the hood.

Soil: organicare pure earth airated formula.

Nutrients:

Veg:
pura vida 6-4-4, superthrive, botanicare sweet

Bloom:

Pura Vida bloom 2-6-6, Oregonism beneficials, Botanicare sweet, purple maxx, gravity, bushmaster, flora nova.

I ph test my water to 6.2 every feeding.
Using tap water.

So thats a quick overview of what Im working with.

Feel free to add to discussion, post your pics, compare strains, thoughts, criticism (constructive) or what ever you think should be in this thread.:peace:

I am very interested in White Berry...looks like something I may want to grow next. I hope your Jacks come out nice and strong...mine are thriving!

4 out of 5 jack herer growing nicely. One didnt sprout. Waiting for all my clones to root. Still need to take a visit to the caregiver to pick up some other strains.

Pretty crucial period for the seedlings. Ive been having problems getting the seedling to a vegging plant. So far ive had a bunch of seeds that sprouted fine and looked like a normal seedling but they never get past thier first 2 set of leaves before they turn yellow and stretch and dont grow. I planted some bag seed in advance to see how they would do and they are showing the same symptoms as described. The jack herer seedlings look fantastic and starting the second set of leaves but like I mentioned, their at the stage now when they stop growing. Should I put them outside or somewhere else?

The same thing happened to a few of my Jacks. They took forever to grow...but coming up to 5 weeks sine sprouting they are starting to grow a bit more. I am inducing flowering next week and I hope they grow a bit. This strain is testing my patience too...but I love the challenge.

My jack seedlings are pushing out the 3rd set of leaves but the are still tiny and very light green. Im guessing our tap water is the culprit so they'll get ro water with superthrive from now on. I sprayed them with a very diluted 1-0-0 foliar today so if theyre N defficient hopefully that could do something. Any thoughts? I'll try and get some pics up of what I got going on.

If they are yellowing it could be a nitrogen problem. One the seedlings are rooted and have true leaves the round seed leaf s are used up and you need to start them off with weak fertizer. Ph. the run off water, that is more imortant.

are ya keepin the container moist continuously, that'll do it. it needs to dry out more between waterings to keep healthy plants,,but i dont know yur all around environment.. anyway out of 16 of m og kush , got three not sure if thier gonna progress or die.. i transplanted to early and stunted them.best to wait 10 days at least from seedling trays. i know wat i did.lol.

Well, Im a pretty lazy grower so most often I wait until the last minute to water the plants and the container is very light and sometimes the plants may be a little droopy. The seedlings Im constantly watching and making sure the container is nice and dry before giving them thier next feeding. I'll be making sure these seedlings turn into little plants that are rootbound in those containers before transplanting.

Yes the gravity and maxx do work. I dont have any comparison pictures but my buds had alot of resin and were hard as rocks. I acctually have a jtr clone rooting in 12/12 in the tent. They were already flowering when I took them from an outdoor grow and took some thicker stem bigger clones to throw directly into 12/12 and now theyre showing roots.

Heres a quick up date. All my clones are growing steadily everyday. The jack herer seedlings have done exactly what I predicted they would do even though I thought I took precautionary measures so it wouldnt happen. I have them in a 4 foot long box about 2 inches away from a t5 that I fit in there. I have a whiteberry seed thats been in soil for 3 days now and have yet to see something.
Heres my veg areas and some shots of the jack seedlings. Im germing the other five tonight. Any idea what could be causing this? I water them with 6.2 distilled or ro water. Ive tried 3 different soils. Cleaned and disinfected the clone/seed area. Any ideas?

lookin great overall.2 of mine did that becauase i transplanted them too early from to small to transplant size and + the seedling plant soil was real moist wen i transplanted it, it should had been dried out somewat first,,yellowing is always mostly caused from roots not gettin much oxygen and if it s real humid where yur at maxe it worse.jus leavem alone let get dry.,then water...bes to wait till thier thickening under a t-5 or a 250 mh to keep from stretching causing me to have to transplant to early.and if yu add a 60/40 soil/perilite will give yu the bes plants period.lots of oxygen for the roots.most all yur indoor soil cashcroppers use this ratio.heps save on soil mixes seeing perilite is like 18.00 for a 4ft x 4 ft bag.get some buds like this .heres some purple wrecks.
