Looks like you got a case of powdery mildew. Unfortunately, by the time you can see it it is already in the plants system. You can control it now, but most likely it'll keep popping back up. Sulphur burners, fungicides, and even hitting the spores with high temps (over 100 degrees) for about an hour can help. Other than that, everything looks awesome!

Looking good man! My friend and I just started our grow but were considering using LED in conjunction with an HPS or a CMH. I am stoked to see the end results. I noticed you said that you use these all through flower. I was wondering if you have ever mixed them with HPS or any other HID lights to see the side by side results?? Possibly the most experienced grower I've seen with LEDs. +rep and sub'd

so we are one month into flower, flower started 5/09/11....
The milk and water worked GREAT! have seen it come back on a few leaves but nothing really, plants are doing great!
I have been getting a lot of messages about the grow bars. I will have more information and a website developed soon to share! Until then the most common thing I have been explaining witht hese grow bars compared to the common LED "panel" is how you can actually use 200 watts to cover a 5x5 area...other LED panels would need probably close to 1000watts of actual power draw for GOOD coverage on a 5x5 area.
IN MY OPINION! LED "panels" with 1,3,5 watt standard chips have a coverage limited to their design dimensions. LED companies say their panels can fill a 4x4 but grab a light meter and you will see the truth...just think of the light itself in a LED panel once you reach the perimeter of the LED pattern...any other light is decent at best. Remember LEDs are directional! Point is if the panel is 21"x36" and says it covers 4x4, the answer is yes it will light up a 4x4 area however 21"x36" is pretty much your optimal coverage, travel outside that and your effectiveness fades very fast.These grow bars however use a different type of LED chip and reflector on the unit, its the design that wins. Panels and single diodes are a limited technology in LEDs...
The blackstars are great dont get me wrong but Im using 560 watts to cover a 3x3 area in the 4x4 tent. (Remember the blackstar 500's draw 280watts each), In the grow bar tent I'm using 200 watts to cover a 5x5. The HSS180 that draws 110 watts actually is supplemental at best....(each grow bar draws 102 watts).
Here is the grow bar + HSS 5x5 tent with 9 plants, you can see they are taller and the buds are not as developed as what you are going to see under the blackstars in the 4x4 tent. I say these plants are a week or two behind the black star tent.
Very healthy, one of the healthiest and tallest crops yet from these grow bars that I have seen...
Blackstar 4x4 tent, these plants literally have not grown hardly a inch since they were thrown into flower. They are a good week or two ahead of the other tent...

4x4 tent with 2 blackstar500's, (560 watts total, each blackstar500 actually draws 270-280watts)
5x5 tent with grow bars...9 plants roughly 300 watts total!
To sum it up the blackstars are 2-3 weeks ahead of the growbars. Primarily due to the heavy red ratio and that the blackstars are designed for budding. The growbars however are pulling their weight. As explained in the last post the benefit with the growbars is the coverage/efficiency. They are using 100 watts to cover a 15 sqft are with even intensity and great coverage. Traditional LED panels coverage are limited to their design dimensions most of the time. Meaning if the panel is 3x2 the coverage is 3x2 anything outside of that is supplemental lighting. That is why people should not try and replace HID lighting with LEDs, it doesn't make sense.
example: A 1000 watt light would cover a 5x5 area perfect, it would take 4 blackstar500's to cover a 5x5 and with that you are already at 1160watts total...so where is your power savings?
This model growbar I knew wasnt going to be the best for flowering but I was more interested in the coverage and how it would grow the plant. so far a success, i have 9 plants showing no signs of lack of light.These specific grow bars are designed with an even mix of 3500k and 5500k LED chips. On my next experiment I will be testing the same grow bars but with a heavier mix of red. I am working with manufacturer on mixing 2100k and 2700k into the grow bar. I believe this is the key and will be a major breakthrough in the LED game...

truuuue, i will post a link in this thread when i start the new grow...hopefully in 60 days or less...takes about 4 weeks for the grow bars to be made.
