Well tomarro marks 3 weeks of flower and I'm leaving for sunny florida tonight. I was hopin to put a pic update today but the wife packed tha camera already and I cant find it. I've started supercropping a bit the last few days so we'll see how it works. I have a friend stopping by a couple times to add water and check the height of my lights and make sure all is well. Nothing like being gone from your setup for two weeks and seeing the progression, almost makes up for the worrying about it while away. I will post pics upon my return. Merry christmas everybody and have a safe and happy holiday.

Thanks for the feedback flo, I originally did try the zip ties but was sagging way too much thats why I added the strip of wood..
What if you use zip-ties then put a "T" bar underneath in between buckets 2 & 3? This will keep the sag away and not block as much light as a complete bracing strip.

I wish I had a basement... I wonder if my storage unit in a common area would stink too much... would be very cool in the summer.

kindone, like you set up man. I got a buddy who is just vegging some OG 18s as well. Hopefully his plants looks as nice as yours are in a few weeks.

Well, Florida was a little colder than I would have liked but still plenty sunny. The weed was good because I brought my own. Ran a little low the last few days but I made it out alive. The fucking nightmares of coming home to a dried up room were still haunted me a couple of nights, all in all shit looks pretty good though. Day 34 flower. Couple of buds on the left got a little close to the lights and a little burnt but not too bad.Thinkin of switching these cool tubes out for some hoods next round, I dont think I like them.

Nice, looks like you're going to get a decent yield. What's the benefit of using the res buckets instead of treating each bucket as an individual res. This part of DWC has always confused me. Anyways like the way its going so far love the SCROG set up you have.

You also have more "thermal mass" that makes temperature rises take longer.

When you check pH/ppm you only have to open 1 bucket and it doesn't have a plant in it. It basically lowers maintenance.

Looking good! were your og kush the #18 seeds slow starting? I just germed one, and its the slowest out of the 4 strains i currently have growing atm. its about 4 days old, and its true leaves are just now starting to swell, where as my diesel has its second set of true leaves already showing and they are the same age. Oh well thought you might know since you have the experience with this strain. thanks!
Happy growing!

very nice scrog ... and i agree with the hood situation ... i had a 400w cool tube in a very restricted space and it worked great but not the best coverage

you have plenty of room so you could definitely get away with some XXL hoods and 2k's of light in there

or just stick with your 600's xD

Ya know , I would say it started slow and the seed looked weak and small, but after she got going it was off to the races. It is a very fast rooting plant when cutting clones though, about 7 days.

I think i am going to switch the hoods out and eventually add two more 600w' ers

Week number 6 flower . I am not sure why but I am getting alot of yellowing of leaves. Looks to me like a little heat stress mixed with a nute def, not quite sure why though, I have been sticking with lucas formula to a T as usual. I have decided next round to try canna nutes in one of my setups and compare results. Buds are startin to thicken up and gettin real frosty, the next few weeks should be good. I am starting to get my shit together for next round and trying to add a couple of strains. I have SLH and Next generation seeds Grapefruit diesel going but both are from seed and in soil as I plan to keep them as mothers. Problem is their not ready to cut from yet. So I will have to try and get some clones from a friend or try a local dispensary. Thinkin about a cheese strain.

You where right. That og #18 is off to the races like you stated. Took a lil while to get going but now its a different story. I heard that this strain likes a lot of cal/mag, and to dose it with some calmag plus, cause she likes it. I could be mistaken, but by the way the pics look they seem to be having a calmag deficiency you should give Botanicare calmag plus a shot! Happy growing!
