100watts a plant???

hi

im still a newb have got a few succesful grows under my belt now but defo still a newb lol

neway dunno where ive read it or if i just made it up myself??? but ive always thought that as a minimum with hps neway that you should have 100watts per plant. 1000watt hps = maximum 10 plants???

is this true??

Depends a lot on the configuration and size of the plants. 100w for hps is on the high side. 100w for flouros sounds about right.

its up to you how many you want to put under your 1000w lamp. you could grow 2 HUGE plants. or 100 small ones in a SOG style. there is no right or wrong amount of plants.

thanks for the info guys, i have had good results with 100watts per plants it works for me so ill stick with it. i did always think tho the more light the more weed? i no there are many other factors to growing than just light but i aint so wrong am i with that statement?

Yes, but its really the amount of lumens per plant. More lumens, more bud. Good luck.

The light doesn't care how many plants are under there. It only cares "How many sq. ft. do I have to light up?".

You should think more like your light!

i have 333 watts hps per plant...lol..i got 9 girls...3000 watts
