If you cool your light correctly then you shouldn't have a problem with heat. I have 8000w in my flower room and I can lay my face on the glass anytime of day. Water cooling buddy!!! Plus, I'm not saying move them every couple hours. Every other day or twice a week is fine. If you can't get to your plants then you need to redesign your room. I make sure I can get to any of them. You have to be able to check them periodically.

You can't rotate your plants though? You'd be surprised how inexpensive water cooling really is. The larger the grow the smaller the difference. It's actually cheaper and more efficient for me. On small grows you have to wait about 6 months to get your money back but if you are paying your electricity then you will see the difference. Plus you use no ducting, half the inline fans if that, fully sealed rooms, no a/c unit needed, etc... It's not that bad at all. I've seen 1-3 light setups done for relatively cheap.

No Phil, I can't move them. I plant straight into the tables without pots and also scrog with one screen for 4 plants. I will look more into this water-cooling. Any idea where to look? Do you think it will be worth it for me? Bear in mind I only use a single 250w metal halide for veg and a 600w hps for flower. I'm interested as I live in a converted loft and we have a police helicopter over here all the time.

There is a ton of info in the thread that's in my signature. A lot of guys building DIY stuff and passing the info around in there. In your case it can still be effective. It allows you to get rid of your a/c, cool your reservoir, generate Co2 without heat, dehumidify without heat, cool the heat from your ballasts, etc... It might have a bit of a setup cost but it's well worth it in the end.

but reason i asked is in usa they can no long use flir on a house without a warrant to search and if they can get a warrant they dont need flir just kick door in and walk right in they wont waste money on the flir unless it is large but then again if they have probable cause for warrant then why flir just go in house

1000 watts light will be great for 10x10, it will blanket an 8x8 perfect if your lights can be hung at least at 7 ft. I build my spaces 10 ft wide to allow space to produce a small path down the middle for working amogst them. hang a 1000 light for optimal effect make shure you have vented sealed hoods to cary your heat out of the area.

Can't beileve someone suggested hanging 9 1000 watt hps, in a little 10x10. You couldn't get 2 great white hoods in there if you tried.let alone 9. 1 sun system yeild master 6 in hood directly in the middle of a 10 x10 will allow aprox 35 3 gal tall nursery pots. you can leave a small path to service your plants. keep it vented in and out of the grow area and the glass on. you can keep these lights pretty close to the plants, hang your lights on zip cord hangers for easy adjustment, you will do fine see ....View attachment 2536397View attachment 2536400
