Yeah too cold for school. It's quite common around here nowadays. I remember 1 time having a delay for cold weather reasons. I think it was -20f with the wind chill, like back in '93 or so.

In 1993 MSU campus was -52 with windchill. When I graduated I had $180 in parking tickets because I refused to walk campus. That's a $180 in 1993 dollars don't know what it would be today.

yup today's value would be exactly Negative -$547.36 and then you have a balloon debt payment just to really make ya feel the pinch!!

Coldest I've had to deal with was -50F, but at least there was no wind. If you count wind chill, then the coldest was around -94F.

Hell yeah its COLD!! Idk though, atleast no one else lost there "power" for 3 days during the big ass snow storm that dumped damn near 2'feet of snow on us! ;) had 2 deal with that bullshit, I was SO worried I was going to loose every plant I had! It got down to 17* in my house!! We couldn't handle it here, tried it one night, & couldn't do it!! Besides I have two children "girls" & didn't want them 2 end up sick because of it! So had 2 leave & stay with the mother n law! Oh joy!! ;) anyways, I knew it 4 sure that once we got back & the power was on, that everyone of my plants would be feel over crisped up n shit!! But you know, I really don't get it!! To my surrprise everyone of them surrvived it!! Boy was I so happy that not one died!! Even my little one "baby" Chemmy Jones made it!! The ONLY thing that happened was a few of the tips on one or two was burnt looking as if they had nute burn! That's it!!

Sure hope that know one elses power went/goes out!! That shit would reck havick on a DWC or hydro system!!
I hate to even think about it!! "GOOD THOUGHTS"!! ;)

I didn't used to mind the cold when I was younger, but the older I get the more it cuts right through me. I usually do ok once I get aclimated but I spent last week at the Atlanta office and 55 F seems like 90 when you come from 0 but coming back to 0 is horrible!

School was cancelled yesterday because it was -17ºF with -40º windchill.

Today it's only -12ºF with less wind so there was school.
