Use it, it will flower plants. I've seen turn-key units come with ONLY MH lights. Add some Red spectrun LED to compensate. I use 600w HPS for flowering suplemented with full spectrum CFL's for flowering. For Veging, all I need is MH it's way brighter. I would still get what the HPS. CD
