Alright well heres another question. The hood has a built in socket and cord. The cord is a s52 i believe fitting. And it fits into the ballast obviously. But on the ballast you have to switch to a m47 fitting for the metal halide but how am i going to do that with the hood having a s52 fitting...

I just got a yieldmaster classic 2 6in it came with a 1000w hps bulb and a switchable mh/hps magnetic ballast. I am wondering if a 1000w metal halide bulb will fit in there. I know those bulbs are like the size of footballs so i need to know if it will even fit before i buy the bulb. Thanks...

What kind of filter are you using?

Does anyone know where to get activated carbon for less than like $4/lb? Im wanting to do a DIY carbon filter but filling a 5gal bucket requires alot of carbon. Im going to be filtering a 10x10 room would this be a sufficient size or would smaller suffice?
