if you dont have an extra hps bulb to replace the one thats gone bad then i just stick back in the MH bulb on the same time length until you can get around to replacing your HPS bulb. Your buds mite not get quite as big or potent but it sure beats loosing them all

the ventilation your describing will work either way, but for a box that size I would have at least a 400w system preferably a 600w system would be your best bet

id soak those containers at least once a week w/ full strength nutes. that will help to take care of your yellowing problem and help your plants not have to work so hard to pull water from all over your container

maybe a ph problem or possibly a nute def. since your only giving them a slight nute dose. id check ph and maybe mist them w/ a weak solution of your veg nutes

Usually if the problem starts at the bottom of the plant and works its way to the top its some type of nute def. if the problem starts at the top of the plant and works its way down then its usually nute burn or ph flucuation, but theres also a lot of pests out there that can cause problems too

I only time id advise leaving a light at the bottom of the box is if you already have one hanging from the top so you get light to both the top and bottom of your canopy, but if all you got is that one light then yes it def. needs to be hung above the plants
