Thanks for the good info guys. The seeds are now in soil and had a total soak time of about 22 hours. I'll update this when/if they pop. The soil is a brand called Coast of Maine bar harbor blend. It's a perlite, compost, peat, seaweed, aged dark bark mix. It's super fluffy and light on nutes...

All my seeds have sunk to the bottom but show no tap roots. Are these seeds good to put into soil yet? I've read a couple posts saying just plant them but I've also read some stuff about seeing a tap root first. Thanks Jon Blaze

All the seeds had cracked open during germ but the tap root was VERY tiny when I planted them. I'm hoping they're just doing their thing under the soil and will break surface in the next 48 hours. If they dont show in the next 2 days I will do some "surgery" and re-plant them closer to the surface.

P.S. I was thinking about giving them the SLIGHTEST bit of grow nutes (like 1/8 the recommend dose). Is this a bad Idea?

I put my seeds in soil 5 days ago and they haven't busted through yet. Of course I'm going to continue to wait... but how long do most seeds take to show signs of life? This is an auto flower strain and I used the wet paper towel method for germination. Any tips on making them pop faster? Thanks

I didn't ask that question right. My males are no where near my females and I've already collected pollen from them. So I guess my question should have been - Do male plants serve any purpose after they've had pollen collected from them?

I've read a lot about telling how to tell when females are ready to be cut down but I'd like to know how to tell when a male should be picked. Any tips on determining when to pluck a male a pant?
