6 purple haze + 6 white widow in flood and drain system

hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like you have some type of nutrient problem on those plants that are green in the middle of the leaf but yellow on the outside, might want to look at lowering the PPM of your solution. what kind of water are you using?

first official grow - bagseed, drip irrigation hydro

so, I have 2 females in my flower room (ebb/flow) and I'm feeding them every 3 hours for 3 minutes a feeding. the nutes fill the tub about 2/3 of the way, and when flooded, it only goes up about 1/3 of the way to the top of the rockwool, if that. After 8 days in flower, I see female...

wait, are you saying that you're using a 150w HPS for vegging and a 1000w HPS for flowering? just curious why such a small light for the veg.

Is this a good idea? bad idea? (pics)

I use High output t5's fluoros and they work great, and don't suck up so much electricity. i only use them for clones, and vegging though, not flowering.

    just gettin started

depending on what medium you'll be growing in (I recommend rockwool for seedling) you should put it in the growing medium as soon as the sprout comes out of the see. then you should keep it in the dark in a humid/warm environment until it comes above ground. I keep my rockwool cubes on a...

first grow, just putting it out there

I do hydro, and in my veg room its a drip irrigation that feeds every 4 hours for 5 minutes. I started off with only 1 minute feedings. the key is to feel the medium, which in my case was rockwool, and make sure it isn't waterlogged. I have my veg room lights on 24/0. but then again, I move my...

What is the OPTIMUM method of growing Cannabis?

well, you can use hydroclay pellets with a flood and drain, if you're taking clones from mothers, you can put them in the small rockwool at clone, and then plop those babies right into the hydroclay pellets. I haven't ever had any issues with my flood/drain system, it's really reliable, and as...

Controlling the height of a plant..

hey Queen, I agree with the above. I've always used high output t5 fluorescent bulbs for seedlings and veg, and they work great, and my plants stay somewhat shorter by topping. not to mention the fluoro's are much cheaper to run

Need some advice on my inflow / outflow ventilation

I have been using t5 fluoro's that I got from a garden shop that have a blue spectrum, and now I've decided to just keep them rather than get a MH light fixture. they work GREAT for vegging and clones. Plus, they keep the heat and energy bill down.

    question about required CFM

yes, that's correct Vento. thanks man, I didn't want to spend the $150+ for a inline fan that's rated at 190 CFM, but would if I had to. appreciate the quick response!

    question about required CFM

I have a flowering room that is about 6' x 3' and 8 ft tall. I have a 4" carbonaire filter mounted and hooked to a 100 CFM squirrel cage fan. the duct length from the filter to the fan is only about 2-3 feet long and there are no bends in the ducting. I have the room sealed (not tightly...

Should you remove yellow leafs that are Dying?

agree with above answer. I read also that if leaf is over 60% dead looking, to remove it, but I've found that if this is the case, you can pull it off very easily.
