Have been sucessfully cloneing for 5 years now. Something i observed.

I start taking clones when the plant is two months old and trash it when it is three months old. I clone with RW cubes. I started following ABF's method and modified it slightly for what works for me. Again, no problems at the moment. I will be working with my WW for a while longer, but will...

Have been sucessfully cloneing for 5 years now. Something i observed.

Thank you and let me clarify as my post may have been misleading. When I take clones from a seed plant, I call those clones Gen1. When I have Gen1 plants fully grown and mature, I take clones and call them Gen2. Also my clones always look and grow better than my seed plants. Perhaps this is...

Have been sucessfully cloneing for 5 years now. Something i observed.

Whenever I grow a new mother plant from seed, the first generation of clones never does good. I have grown NL, AK47 and WW with the same results. My last seed plant (the WW) only gave me one grade AA clone, a handful of crap and a couple dozen of non rooters. The second generation does...

Only the WW's are wilting, all others are good.

All of my ww clones want to go limp and die on me. I have not changed a thing. I have all my clones together in RW cubes, under a humidity dome, on a heat pad. Air temp stays at 75-79. before I used to keep the vents on the dome open. I have since closed them up and spray the under side...

smell in HVAC system; oh crap

I can't turn on the heater or the AC without getting a strong smell over the entire house. All the house vents and one of the forced air units is in the attic. The air from my grow blows into the attic, but the air returns are inside the house where it does not smell. Even the smell in the...

    Water Question, RO, Distilled, pH

My first grow I didn't have an RO. By the end of the 2 month cycle my hydroton was white with all the crap that was in the water had built up on them. I had hard water crap on the top of my DWC buckets that flacked off any time I touched it. It even built up on the walls of the room (from the...

I have read that pythium will live on equipment / soil that has not been used in years and bleach will not kill it. That being the case, when this operation is done all of my equipment is going in the trash. How long have you had this problem? Have you always used hygrozyme? Does your water...

Culling and bleaching didn't work so I let the plants grow with the pythium. 3 to 4 days after turning cloudy, the water with hygrozyme will then clear back up. Shit still grows in the tray and the inside of my res, but the plants are doing much better than they did before I started using...

why is my water milky brown and have stuff floating in it?

Let me just say this. I had been useing the h202 per recomendations from the start of the grow and had these problems come up with the h202 already in my res. Nothing against the h202 but if hygrozyme works for me, then I will be a life long user of the stuff. kiss-ass UPDATE AFTER 12...

why is my water milky brown and have stuff floating in it?

UPDATE I just spent the last 14 hours cleaning two of my three systems. I bleached everything. Hoses, pumps, you name it. I mixed up a 5% solution of 35% h202 and soaked every plant for 5 minutes, then flushed them. I did this twice and ended up going through an entire gallon of h202. When...

    Will Epsom kill Hygrozyme?

I read that epsom salt will kill the good enzymes. Is this true? I know h202 will kill them, but not sure about the epsom.

    Police at the garden shop

I have actually seen them in the shop before. Once a guy was just "standing around" by the door looking at everyone who came in, pretending to be reading the back of some bottle. He even had a notepad. I just looked around for a minute at pumps that are also used for fish tanks, then left...

Typical watering cycle for ebb n flow?

It depends what medium you are using and how big the plants are. Generally speaking when I used RW, I only watered once a day. Using hydroton I tend to water 4 times a day, just long enough to fill up my tray and only when the lights are on.

My first ever grow, 2 weeks no sprout

I am no expert, but as others have said it sounds like you over watered. FWIW, my first grow I had great results with NL from Sensi.

    Clone problem

Your RW cubes should weigh 25g wet. It is easy to over water them. Also try a heat mat, but if you use a humidity dome like I do, you will probably get too much humidity. I had to buy a dome with adjustable vents on the top. It works great.

    Hygrozyme FEED or KILL pythium?

Thanks for the info. I have been adding 35% h202 every 3 days since the start of my grow. The water turned cloudy overnight, the day after I drained my res and bleached everything (oddly enough). I have been trying to fix it with h202, but it has not fixed the problem. Tomorrow I am going...

    Hygrozyme KILL or FEED pythium?

https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/182651-anyone-have-problems-hygrozyme.html While the consensus was good things about hygrozyme, a few posters noted about it making the water worse, but when I take into account what you said, it makes sense about having to do the water changes...
