  • I have read that pythium will live on equipment / soil that has not been used in years and bleach will not kill it. That being the case, when this operation is done all of my equipment is going in the trash.

How long have you had this problem? Have you always used hygrozyme?
Does your water turn clear again after turning cloudy?
I know it says you can use H202 w/ hygrozume, but I don't use any with it just to be safe. How much are you adding?
Also feel free to hit me up after 8/20 if you are interested in the results of the first batch under these conditions.

Culling and bleaching didn't work so I let the plants grow with the pythium. 3 to 4 days after turning cloudy, the water with hygrozyme will then clear back up. Shit still grows in the tray and the inside of my res, but the plants are doing much better than they did before I started using hygrozyme.

My plants grow 2.5-3 times bigger with hygrozyme but they are still FAR from what they should be. Looks like I will still have to veg them for a week or two before going into the SOG. I will know much more after 8/20 and will be able to see if it is worth the time and money to keep it going.
    10mm fan boy,

I have been reading some of your threads and believe my root rot problem is/was very similar to yours. I have been using 35% H2O2 with Hygrozyme and my rez always get cloudy 24 hours after i change the rez. Ive been changing it every 2-3 days.

I would appreciate any information you can give me regarding your situation and how you solved your root rot issues. Thanks ahead of time.
