Hello yall,
I got in car acc in 2006 when i was 16 (major health problems after)I applyed to a cannabis clinc in Ontario. The clinc charges 0.00$ To patients bill health card. If I get accepted to be a medical cannabis user. That would be nice!
I suffer from:
Organic brain syndrome (blood in rtl frontal lob cused by the acc)
Anxiety
depression
Insomnia
Lack of appetite
arthritis
Lack and short soam of Concentration
I smoke about for 4/g a day(AA stuff). Can i ask for 2/g extra just in case plus if i can do edebles So all is 5 to 6 grams. What you guys think? Would they accept and give what i need?

I also think yes...
I also qualified for multiple reasons, like you,
you may want to consider vaporized as well, since smoking is the most frowned on method.
Between vaporized, edibles ,eaten raw and smoked, you should have it covered.
My current usage is 6 grams/day.
good luck going forward.

with all that, i would ask for more than that. ediles take more product.
if you were going to bake and use 1 OZ per LB of butter. you'd probably go through more than 6 g in that alone.
in my opinion, edibles or taking oil are the way to go. you get a whole body effect as well as mental. it lasts longer than smoking or vaping

Bit of context....I am in Kitchener, Ontario, saw my family Dr. I've had for 5+ years today. Existing MMAR paperwork holder. Suffer from AVN of the hip.

Doc sees Cannabis as harm reduction. Is it better than you being on narcotics? Absolutely. He is not a big fan of smoking it (lung cancer, heart issues from combusted materials) but is more comfortable with vaping. Just kinda shrugged about edibles.

Asked about the 'college' and he said their official stance is similar to the DEA's 'has not been clinically trialed' yet kinda thing. He says some doctors are very opposed but most are quite comfortable with the concept. He say's he is somewhere in the middle.

His exact quote after chatting for 10 min. "So what do you need from me? Some paperwork or something?" He signed, updated my grams per day as per my request and I'm out the door.

This is absolutely the way it should go. No issues or barriers from him at all. Wished me luck.

I have a couple questions

Were you enrolled in the mmpr prior to enrolling in the acmpr, if so did you have a MCR#?

Did you need to have an MCR# in order to enroll in the acmpr?

here is a question. I got my MD to sign a medical document, but instead of giving it to me, he sent it directly to Tilray. What is my best option at this point? I would like to sign up with Health Canada and get legal and shit, but obv i am going to keep growing until that point. in my acmpr it has a portion that says do you need starting materials and mmj interm supply from an LP, should i put tilray in there. it says register with LP or HC, but my doctor submitted document already

get a copy of your paperwork and send it in yourself if you can.
did you tell the Dr you want to grow yourself? if you did and they sent it anyway, what a drag. that's not right! you should have choice....unless the Dr's are getting kickbacks

i didnt tell him i want to grow. i figured that was my choice and would negatively impact his decision on whether or not to fill out document.

You need your Dr to write you an original script just like they used for Tilhay. Then you send that in accompanying your application. HC will not accept copy's of dr scripts in your app.

Sounds like he may have just signed you up with Tilray for purchasing. To grow your own he would of had to fill out the forms needed for that specifically.
i am looking at the two forms, the Medical document makes no mention of home grow, it is sctrictly a "prescription" except at the bottom it says:

The medical document can be submitted from the health care practitioner's office to the licensed producer by secure fax. If you choose to submit the medical document by secure fax, initial the statement below to acknowledge agreement.

I, the health care practitioner, acknowledge that the faxed medical document is now the original medical document and that I have retained a copy of this document for my records only.

Also the acmpr application with appendices doesnt have anywhere for a doctor to sign anything, just says you need original document. So now do i have to go back to the doctor and ask for a second one (cancel the first with Tilray)? Tell him it is too much fkn money. 3g/day x $14/g is $1260/month. How are they not able to produce and sell for less? BM price around here is about $6/g

The medical prescription won't have anything about growing on it. It should just have your grams per day
And length of your prescription.

Unfortunately you need to join up with any LP to get your "intern supply " well you grow gets up and running. Not sure if you actually need to buy anything though.

Not sure how much theyll enforce the HAVING to sign up with an LP for an interim supply. Its a complete barrier to access, if someone hasnt used one before why need one suddenly. They can just continue to get it elsewhere as they did before. If it what is a violation of our rights to force us to choose only LP's beforehand how is it any different forcing us to choose only them for an interim Supply or starting material?

I agree. Of the few people I know who's Dr would sign all of them where currently in the MMPR and all of their dr increased their script to 10g/d.

I can't see them forcing somebody who wants an address change to buy of lp's when they already have everything up and running.

Out of the 4 people I know 2 got their licence already, but their living together. And the others haven't heard shit

I agree. I also meant the avg. person not signed to anything too. If you were getting it before without LP's why the fuck would you sign on .

Its been several days now since I phoned MCRCI and had to leave a message as they don't seem to have a live person. Well no call back. What a waste of time. I'm still going to go with the $1500 doc but waiting for a few licenses to arrive to see if HC is giving out the 5:1 plant count.

Quite the turn of events that now you can buy a license to grow huge amounts.......I'm glad folks can at least solve their issues. But this is such a joke it's UN-funny.
