Salt Water Hash? Rosintech? The game is changing!

I can agree with that, there's another tech I've heard about, a company called "clear concentrate" it claims to be solventless, but I can't be sure if it's not, I think it just doesn't have any residuals in it or something, I'm not sure. There's been a lot of stuff I'd like to know more about :p

Actually I think clear is solvent-free which is different then solventless. Solventless means no solvent used solvent free means no detectable residuals left but solvebts were used

That's what I'm saying. I guess the heat and pressure cause the ttrich heads to explode the canna juices which then can be scraped up and dabbed. Not sure how good it tastes (350 degrees is one hell of a decarb right?) I tried it with a small bud and got nothing, but I used a clothes iron, but I can't get enough pressure or something. Didn't work :p ended up with some smashed buds that smelled like they were vaped.

Well, I tried it again with my girlfriends hair iron thing and I think I broke it while using my body weight to press it (ahhhh...shhh..)

Got some though! Not sure how much I'm supposed to get from this method but it looks good. I dunno, doesn't seem like the method is worth while, but in a pinch, if you want a dab, hell yeah! I haven't smoked it yet but I'll update with the flavor. 20150302_235817.jpg20150302_235834.jpg

what ive like to see is test results comparing terpene profile.. thc and cannabinoid levels.. of the heat press non solvent. vs butane..

im wonder if the heat is decarbing it at all. or is it like when you see people flash flame some wax and make it into a shatter.. like product.

I thought the taste wasn't very good on the little bit that I got from it.. But I also do not know what I'm doing and I used a hair iron, which works, but probably isn't the best equipment. I think people are using something like this in the picture to get better results. I would think some decarb happens... It's 400 degrees, and even though you only press for a couple of seconds, I think something is going on on the molecular level.transpro1515-1.jpg

Yeah I mean just look to Vape of dry herb temps y'all-340ish-378ish is a vapor but over that and the smoke gets harsh and tastes not so nice. Idk, I would rather use a solvent i think

The tweak on rosin with the heat press is a gamechanger tech in my book but not yet sure how well it would work on a commercial level. I'm sure someone will figure out an efficient method. I don't doubt 25% yield at all on this with really good nug and a solid press. I have easily gotten 12-15% with just a hair iron. Tshirt press is next. This would be amazing for states without access to good shatter or ice wax but good nug or bubble.

Im reserving judgement til I try it. Im all about taste though so I have a feeling this isnt gonna be more then a fad

I just don't understand how rosin comes out shatterish and not more like water hash, I'd like to try it but have no idea how to do it
Hey alpha if you are interested in rosin tech yiu should follow the guy who has made it popular @soilgrown on IG. Btw im a be following you in a sec here.
It interests me but my roommate is trying to get all revolutionary bout it and I am not really having it. He thinks it would turn out better if you use a lower temp and just press it longer. He also wants to use 2 frying pans to press and a electric griddle for heat instead of a straightener lol. I am cool with hin having his theories but he wants to use my bud to do it and that I am not down for.... I do wanna try this but I would like to do it the way I know works not his half baked idea.
And I agree alpha, it is crazy how they tget the consistency they do with this tech, its the nain reason I am interested in this. I mean its clear and shatter, have heard a couple times now though that it tastes like reclaim.

I need to get myself a domeless nail and carb cap or one of these schnazzy flip top carbs so I can do big dabs like all the cool kids lol.

Been following the FlowerRosin craze on IG for a few weeks. I think they are looking at 10%-18% depending on strain. I tried it with some homegrown that was in a jar for a year and dabbed it. I got really high off it and it tasted pretty good, going to try lower heat next time. I agree that it's probably better to make bubble but shit, 10 seconds from flower to dab, not bad esp if you live in an unfriendly state.

This was posted today btw:

PS> I can't stand all these haters that keep saying "it's 10 years old". While that is sort of true, shut the fuck up you aren't accomplishing anything with these half truths. 10 years ago ppl were making sift/bubble rosin out of B and C grade with a metal bowl. People are now using flat irons and shirt presses to make rosin with flower.
