Salt Water Hash? Rosintech? The game is changing!

Not sure how good it tastes (350 degrees is one hell of a decarb right?)
Yes, the heat is too much. The louder profile of rosin might be due to terps steaming since fresh flowers are being used. Break down the bud and there might be less surface area, less pockets and moisture to gather attempting steam which might lead to a lack in flavonoid.

The end-game is an eternal struggle between heat and terpene evaporation meaning the technique favors fresh flower to instigate steam, but at high temps you are boiling off terp, most terpenoids quickly evaporate and @ 50°C (122°F) THC-Acid decarboxylates; water molecule held in carbonate evaporates thus activating THC. Get above that in rosin's case and you are arguably only realizing louder (steamed) terps with higher boiling points when using current rosin trend. Heat pressing kief is nothing new, what we don't hear much of is "trichome rupture" and how low-temp essential oils, lipids etc., are coalescing in traditional pressed hashish; citing entourage effect.

Eventhough SCLabs champions HPLC/DAD and regardless of how thorough, how many samples are tested is moot in considering a general outlook on terpenes sacrificed i.e. evaporated and those steamed to the head of the pack. The lab test on page 2 seems to support this.

I just don't understand how rosin comes out shatterish and not more like water hash, I'd like to try it but have no idea how to do it
when you extract rosin from hash it is wrapped in a screen then pressed in parchment paper, the clear shatter-like rosin runs out of the screen in a ring around the left over plant matter from the hash. this method does have a very high yield because you are extracting from an extract. as for the salt water hash, i think it sounds like a good idea, salt is water soluble, the extract is not. This would allow for a much colder water temp(freezing temp would be 28.4 degrees Fahrenheit vs 32 degrees Fahrenheit. you'd probably just want to rinse it with clean water before drying.

The progress is never ending! I think when I started this thread, people were still using straightening irons lol, my the times change quickly

anyone know how much you can press with a Tshirt press?
i just mastered the flat iron, but i have a lot of lower grade bubble i would like to press, but not at a gram a time.

I'm not positive, it depends on how much surface area the press has. Measure your hair iron surface, then see what the surface is on the press. I'd imagine if you press 1 gram with a iron that has 12" of square surface area, and the press is 10x bigger, I'd say 10 grams

The tshirt presses really suck because you can't effectively apply enough pressure. I recommend an arbor press from Harbor Freight.

Top bud is light airy, second reeks of cheese the last with least I will not smoke. Shit is so dense and tastes like a pepto-bismol bubble gum crack taste. The unknown is like a rock that is 3.3 g in the pic
