Hey all, One of my mothers is getting too tall for the grow room and reaching into the light. I have been told to only take clones from the bottom part where the new growth is, but I was wondering if I can top my mother and use it at a clone?

Does anyone know what these spots could be? The stems are totally purple and the leaves curving and twisting.

I don't think this is root rot because I water these little cups every other day, (its under a 600W) and the soil on the top is crusty each time I water and there isn't much weight left in the cup before watering.

If I let them dry out will they still recover?
