skunkberry from peakseedsbc.com apx 1 week into 12/12. I think they are males, but wanted positive confirmation before pulling them b/c I've only used female clones in the past. also, assuming they are males, apx how long before they would start spreading pollen?

light leak all night week 7... problem?

thx 4 the info Hobbes. I did have one of these blueberries go hermie on me after trying to force it back into veg after flowering for about 3-4 weeks. I pulled that one once I saw those green bananas u described, though. It was a stoopid, wasteful experiment...

light leak all night week 7... problem?

yeah blueberry but I'm not sure which one or where it's from... possibly peak seeds, but that's just a guess b/c I know they came from SW BC. They're fussy little bitches sometimes... so I don't need to plunge them into darkness today? just wait for the lights to go off like normal tonight...

think I might have spidermites but not sure

if u use baby oil, turn the lights out for about 4 hours to prevent cooking your girls. since you are in veg, you can also just mix up tobacco and/or cayenne pepper to spray them down w/. make sure you hit the whole plant, especially under the leaves. another cheap easy fix in a small area...

Spider Mites that Won't Go Away

azatrol works pretty good, but you'll never get them all w/ spraying... fill a 5 ga bucket & intvert & dip them so everything gets covered. do it again in 3-5 days after the eggs hatch, but before they reproduce. high humidity is very effective at killing them too, but prbly risks other...

Help!help!help! Spider mites are trying to take over!

late entry, but for anyone who has a Kirby vacuum, there's is a hose attachment w/ a very sharp taper that ends w/ an opening not much bigger than a pencil point. Works good for removing mites & eggs w/ out shredding leaves. a tip I was given w/ azamax is to mix up a bucket of it, invert the...

how do I keep my electrical bill down

u might want to try a few before replacing all of them. only reason I say that is I switched all a few yrs ago, but wasn't happy w/ the light quality in a few rooms. I spend 12 hrs/day in a windowless room & had to go w/ Reveal bulbs to keep from going batcrap crazy... the CFL's were just too...

how do I keep my electrical bill down

great tips... I'd like to add that, if you are the homeowner, many of the energy saving improvements like adding attic insulation, windows, & energy star appliances will qualify for a tax credit also. Thereby saving you additional $$$. Talk to your accountant before making any purchases or you...

    brown/copper spots on leaves

I thought the damage was inconsistent w/ the pics of spider mites I've seen too. And, someone else just told me the creepies I found are the wrong color for spider mites. They look black or brown to me, but I can't get enough magnification to tell for certain... only that they're zipping around...

    brown/copper spots on leaves

these spots started showing up a few days ago & don't look like the nute burns I've seen in the past. much more copper colored. I'm told this is blueberry, and the mother they came from tasted a bit like blueberrys, but all I really know for certain is that the original beans came from a farm...
