week 7, trics are still mostly clear... maybe 10-20% cloudy.. Veg chamber w/ 4 40W flouros was left open during dark cycle. Not shining directly on the plants, but the reflection off the wall lit up the room...

problem? chop now or proceed?

Proceed.

You sound a couple weeks away from harvest, even if you get some bananas and the pollen bursts before you harvests you won't get seeds.

Get a pair of tweezers for your grow room and watch your buds, the bananas (male flowers) will grow out of the buds not at the nodes like male pre flowers (balls on a stick). The bananas will be yellow and will look like little bananas. Go figure huh?

Just pluck any bananas you see and wait for the trich color you want. I've picked 5 or 6 dozen banana bunches a time several times a week and harvested without more than a handfull of seeds.

What strain? Northern Lights you could grow in toxic soup with a strobe light 24/7 and get tasty buds, but if you look at some Blueberry the wrong way you have a Chiquita plantation.

Best of luck.

yeah blueberry but I'm not sure which one or where it's from... possibly peak seeds, but that's just a guess b/c I know they came from SW BC. They're fussy little bitches sometimes...

so I don't need to plunge them into darkness today? just wait for the lights to go off like normal tonight? normally they would have come out of darkness about 20 min ago and been in light for the next 12.

did you get stoned and forget?
;-) maybe

Just continue as normal okeydokey, don't try to fix anything, just proper business as usual as if there had never been a problem. Often trying to fix something causes a cascade of other problems, and your plants may be fine anyway.

If you do have Peak's Blueberry you have a good chance of escaping unbanana'd. Very solid breeders.

If you do get some male flowers just pluck the yellow ones sticking out - don't dig into your buds, green immature bananas won't hurt anything. Don't freak out if you get bananas, just be sure to check everyday and pluck what you see.

Here's a thread with info on hermies, relates to plants from feminized and regular seeds. Dutch Master Reverse and Penetrator can be used to slow or stop hermies but you may not need it - at 7 weeks on Blueberry if you do see bananas just pluck unless your plants are covered.

thx 4 the info Hobbes. I did have one of these blueberries go hermie on me after trying to force it back into veg after flowering for about 3-4 weeks. I pulled that one once I saw those green bananas u described, though. It was a stoopid, wasteful experiment...
