Also, no disrespect but tap water is the absolute worst thing you want to put near your plants; all those chemicals found in tap water (last study was upwards of 300) make their way into the plants and the smoke will be much more rough, not to mention unhealthy. I'll try that method sometime...

I always flush mine four weeks from harvesting. I flush for two weeks, give one treatment of half-dose fertilizer and then another 2 weeks of flushing. This helps ensure every last bit of the fertilizer is out of the plant, makes for a really smooth smoke.
