When growing indoors you control the environment wheteher in soil or water in terms of light cycle, temp humidity ect...controlling the environment is not exclusive to hydro but having 100% control of the nutrients ur plant recieves is exclusive to hydro.

dude u have dirt and dirty rocks that stay wet mold and or fungus will grow but good luck

the best part of hydro is that you control the nutrients ur plants get. but by using pond water and dirt/rocks which all have nutrients within and prolly not the ones you need, your defeating the whole purpose of hydro, my advise would be start over, i hope you didnt pay for the seeds ur...

very good advise, hydro is not for beginners especially if ur trying a home made system, no offense but its obvious you really dont know as much about hydro as you think. Dont be fooled into thinking that hydro gives better bud i've done both sucessfully and now prefer soil over hydro much less...

I noticed in ur first post u said u had something to draw water to the DIRT and rocks, you shouldnt have dirt thats why its called hydro and rocks arent the best thing to use either you need to get some rockwool or some other type of grow medium commonly used with hydro.

bud needs ph slightly acidic in soil 6.2-6.9, in hydro 5.5-6.0 to help keep the water disease free

also never use miracle grow with hydro, not in the res. and never as a foiler feed.

PH of 7 is to high for hydro, you need to keep it between 5.5-6.0. 5.8 being ideal

Dude i've smoked 3grams a day for the past 21 years, why cant u grow is the big question? If u cant grow it cause ur a teen living at home then dont smoke unless YOU can afford it without spending ur parents cash or stealing to get the cash.

I used to use nothing but cfl's and the good ones at that. 105W 6900 lumens at 6500K, till i bought a 150w hps econolight. i've gotten much better results with the 150w even for the veg period. the bottom line plants eat light its their food, and just like all other living things the more u eat...

y the cfl even 8 of them u still just got 2,800 lumens the hps will put out 15,000

With the lights you have that would be the best possible lighting you could have so Go with ur instinct, just watch the heat.
