I just bought a 150 watt hps for a 23" x 16" cabinet. I have 1 female flowering. Currently I have 7 42watt cfls for flowering and the temp is at 78.
When I add the 150watt hps, how many cfls should i use with it?

Please help.

your buds will vary bepending on how close you can get them to the light with heat stress or burning. i would classify 150 as toy however for that one cabinet and size it would work better than cfl's

let alone much faster

I was thinking of uusing the hps on top and 4 42watt cfls around the sides?
my plants about 16" tall and very bushy

With the lights you have that would be the best possible lighting you could have so Go with ur instinct, just watch the heat.
