First grow 1 bag seed 9 WW

So after much debating and reading of other people's journals I have decided to start one of my own!!! I would love any advice or tips you may have but please no hijacking!!!!

I took my 2nd bedroom closet and made that my grow room. Here are some pics... I have 2 4' dual florescents hanging from chains so I can easily change the height. I am using 2 plant and aquarium bulbs and 2 daylight bulbs so there is one of each in each light... I also have 2 daylight cfl hanging over two of the plants.

I lined the walls with wrapping paper bought from a dollar star that is actualy slightly transparent but does a good job I think. I stuck tinfoil to cardboard for the floor and beneath the card board is 3 layers of plastic that is tucked behind the wrapping paper to keep water out.

I have a fan/heater set to 80f and I will soon have another fan more directly on the plants...

Now for the plants...

I started the 1 bag seed alittle over 4 weeks ago... and I started the 9 WW 2 and a half weeks ago... the first couple pics are the WW and the last few are the bag seed

and I have 2 of the smaller WWs that are showing sigs of what I think is nute burn... The only problems keeping me from flushing the soil is that when I was planting them I added some of thoose nut epellets to the soil... so I cant get rid of them...

I have all the plants in 2.5 gallon pots with 2 inches of crushed stone at the bottom for drainage...

How often and how much should I be watering?

So I', thinking of putting the big one on 12/12 so I can get something to smoke... Is 8-9 inches to short to flower? what do you guys think?

i hope that is the warping paper and not the foil over the lights the lights look at the right hight so that is good its a little early to us not on the ww only the bagseed i use every other day water at this stage use your miffle finger on the side of the pot and if its damp 2 inches down dont water (most used method)

you can flower at 4 inches you want but you plant will only reach around 12 inches fo at 8 inches yes if you want a 2 foot flowered plant

Thanks for the help man! that is actually the foil being used on the light... is that a problem? It goes above the light in between the bulbs and the fixture itself... I didnt think it would hurt anything as the bulbs dont get hot at all?

if you can maintina your foil to stay 99% straight otherwise it will creat "hotspots" and leaf burn cause of the focus of of llight i suggest you take the foil of because you are already doing great on you light postioning!!!! you should be fine waht do you plan on using to flower with????

I have plant and aquarium bulbs wich I told they like for flowering

ok if you paln on keeping the same tunes and not ugrading to a mh or hps its going to be a slower grow just to let you know

Yea I know what your getting at... But this was our "budget" grow... i really only have like 50 bucks in this not including the seeds.

And would I be safe putting a hot light like that in a 2x6x8 closet?

only 2ft wide??? long one huh yes there are people that put 250ws in small grow tents with no issue

Hmm I will have to look into that if I can turn a profit with this crop! Thanks!!!

Tomorrows project will be odor control and setting up the timer so I can turn them all onto 12/12 to try and sex them! then begins the LST

if u have a ebay account or if not create one this is where the deals are at im sure you know sinve its 2 ft wide and 6 long i sguggest gettin a light mover also......................this 400w hps is stanard for most grower at has a 2000k ct for flower 5500k to 7000k for veg and 2500 to 1800k for flower this light produces around 55,000l you want a minnimun of 5,000l for each plant so do the math....

your gonna need some chains to ajust it and i realized a light mover is not nessasary only 200 with shippin is great for what this light can perduse if you can spare 200 for it you may get it back with the first ounce to 1 1/2

Roger that does sound like a good deal!! I've been looking around on eBay and smell control too...
Question for you though... What flor bulb is for what again? Is it the daylight for veg an the plant and aquarium for flowering

Here is a newb question for you... but do you still refer to the 4' florescent bulbs as cfls? cause thats what I have...
And oyea just to double check the white ones are the veg and the blueish ones are the flowering ones??? Cause I have read they like red light???
