is that sarcasm or were u serious?Miricle grow...jus make sure the soil has a fert in it.. and deff no MOSTURE CONTROL it will ruin your plant
Of the MG crowd, this is the exact opposite.Miricle grow...jus make sure the soil has a fert in it.. and deff no MOSTURE CONTROL it will ruin your plant
Keep in mind i am only on my first soil grow but i have been using MG moisture control inside and its worked great so far. no burn at all. I started my seedlings in there too and havent had a problem, and they are between week3 and 4 and thriving. I used bc FilthyFletch recommended it and if you have any doubts check out his soil grows.Come on man first you say you can use bottled water and the pH will be fine and then you recomend MG. And then you say miracle grow is the best soil!!! The pH of bottled water will differ, it isn't the same all over the world. Miracle grow can suck my dick, it is one of the worst soils to get. The roots from a seedling will poke thru the jiffy pucks in 3-5 days not 3 weeks! Have you even grown before??? The first rule of thumb is to not get time release fertilizers. Get a soil void of nutrients. I use 1pt perlite, 1 part peat moss (both not miracle grow), and 1 part mushroom compost. I add 1 tablespoon of dolomite lime per gallon of soil.
you did it say it is the best. I don't buy bottled water because it is a waste of money. I aerate my water for 24 hours, and yes I do own a pH tester. I'll go head to head with miracle grow any day, it can't touch any real nutrients that you'd buy at the hydro store! He recomends the mg time release because it is cheap not quality, the book your talking about is how to grow 8 ounces for less than 50 bucks right?well 1st you start the seed in a rockwool cube or jiffy cube..that means by the time the roots hit the actual soil they are about 3 weeks old.. the mosture control will bring bugs because of the fact there is more mosture left around.. the MG soil with the slow release fert is the way i have proved to be the best... but i was jus throwing it out there.. no need for kids to take it personaly...
ProMix BX is not discontinued and is available at a lot of nurserys and hydro stores (usually in the 3.8 cf compressed bales). If you want to pay the freight shipping you can get it for $24/bale from here:Actually pro mix has been discontinued, I went to home depot the other day and the guy said they discontinued production of it and it is no longer in there system. I went ahead and bought some scotts potting soil mix. So far it is doing alright
