Any info on DIY induction Lamps

Induction lights look like the wave of the future. Problem is I cannot find much info on them. I know I read some threads here on them. I was just wondering how I could build these myself and save significant cash over buying pre made fixtures.

I want to build a fixture with like 3 of those in it

Notice they dont have a price?
Seems typical of most of the sites I have visited

I think one of those disposable Aluminum turkey basting trays you find at the grocery store could be used as a reflector in a pinch. :eyesmoke:

I agree with you, the bulbs and ballasts seem cheap enough, but add a hood and prices get out of hand quickly.

I found a company "Riant lighting" making and selling 400w square induction grow lights 3500K

I emailed there sales rep an asked about prices and about shit when he said "350$ + about 100$ for shipping" As a full light ballest an reflector set up, not a kit!
That's half the price of the competion!!
And I think if you buy just a bulb and ballest kit an DIY, it's -100 for no reflector.

I think I'm going to try one!!
Those guys need to get a big hydro shop in board.
If there product is good , and with their low prices they would fly off the shelfs an they could corner the induction market.

My second choice is a 300$ ,300w square induction grow bulb an ballest kit from here.

But I would have to mount it In a reflector an attach a 110v power cord. (No biggie)

I dont work for any light company just searching for the best deal on induction.
Most folks would prefer induction if the price wasn't so high.
And dropping 800$ + shipping to IndaGro to experiment with a new light design is risky.
Wish one of the big Hydro stores would carry cheeper induction light options.

Ps
im going to email a few hydro stores this letter.
