Unfortunately, they are here to stay. Making them illegal would just line the pockets of people willing to illegally sell them, i.e. cartels, mobs, thugs. And it is still that way, at least here in CA. I know a restaurant that up until he sold it 10 months ago, you could smoke while chowin down on your T bone. He was The Owner, head chef, and chief bottle washer. He had no employes, and a sign on the door indicating the dangers inside.
