Ok so i have a LuxCore electronic ballast. its a 250 watt ballast. My problem is finding a bulb that will work with it. I don't want to buy a bulb that is incompatible with this ballast, because i know the electronic ones are a little different than the standard magnetic ones.
Im trying to find a HPS conversion bulb so i can run a HPS bulb in my MH ballast. Do i need to know the ANSI code or something to get a compatible bulb?
so, to make sure you understand my dilemma... heres a summary of what im blabbering about.
1) i need to find a bulb to convert my MH ballast, to HPS. (i found one!!! http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/eye-220w-hps-conversion-bulb-p-88.html)
2) I need to find out if my ballast is M58? According to the description for the bulb i found, it works in a m58 ballast...
3) So will this work on my electronic or "e" ballast??
If you were wondering...why the bulb on that link says 220 watts instead of 250 its because you lose some wattage by using the conversion bulbs.. idk why its just how it is and i can accept that over buying a new ballast!
