Sour Deez in my closet

What the fuck man! That is some serious bud right there, especially those two fat ladies in the back.

I was grinding my teeth looking at that and then just stared away for a few before I caught myself. No way your throwing away that trim. Even if you just dry it a little and shake the shit out of it in a jar. :P

Well, looks like diesel is a 10-12 week finisher. I didn't know that. My closest plant is 90-100% cloudy, just waiting for a little amber before I chop. Maybe 25%....

It's taking a lot to stay patient... the smell, the heavy, dense, sticky nugs, the sight of such majesty.

I do have some bad news though, my clone connection had a death in the family... got a nice inheritance and a house in another state so I doubt I'll be seeing him again. I may have to resort to ordering seeds through the mail (I prefer to pay cash to hide my expenses from my wife, not the cops LOL)

Damn man - that is taking forever, it's hard for me to look at those pictures. How you can look at the buds I don't know! Theres a couple different kinds of disel, maybe yours just needs longer. :) All I've ever had is the New England one, stricly from one person... That and and the New England mixed with Strawberry Cough, from the same person. Both were amazing, so I was super spoiled.

That's sad to hear about your friend. Maybe he or the family will sell the other house and he will stay local. Ordering seeds can be fun though, around here it seems the guys swap clones like the change shoes, but still order a shit load of seeds. A few people have been strictly doing "Barneys Farm" stuff.

Don't worry about hiding it. I think you need to send money orders for seeds right. :P I'm in the same boat with my wife ever since I spent all $300 of our Home Depot gift cards.

fresh pics...

2-3 gal fabric growbag, 15 days in flower, over 3' tall... I expect this one to top out at 4-5' if I decide to keep it.

I might not keep this one because I know that such a small rootmass with such a large plant is going to require very frequent waterings, and I'd hate to waste the space and time on something that I'll just wind up killing through negligence. I'm really impressed with these growbags though, just wish I flowered at 12" instead of 24". Apparently the plant never gets rootbound, and thinks it can grow as much as it wants :D

6 rooted clones, what more can I say?

Oh yea, seems like I always get a freak...

Weird huh? like a clone grew a root, and the root grew a clone :eyesmoke: fuckin' deep man...

Nice update X!

Clones look great, what are they of? That extra plant at the bottom is neat too! Your quote was hilarous.

Thanks man, they're all the same genetics (SD), probably on my 4th generation of clones with this strain. I'm a tad embarrased at the lack of diversity in my garden, but I'm sure I'll get over it soon :-P

(got a fat bud drying, smoke report tomorrow)

Hey I got no diversity either. And no buds drying! No need to be sad lol.

Can't wait for the report!

Sup guys!!! Well, I've got some good news and bad news. Bad news is that I've got some fungus on a few buds. :cuss: Good news is that I've been doing my homework and I'm confident that I can prevent this from happening in the future.

First off, I haven't been giving my plants the attention they need. I know that my humidity is a steady 50% during lights on, but I suspect it's getting up to 65-70% during lights off... if not more. Unfortunately I'm using my hygrometer for drying right now, but I'm going to combat the problem with Damp-Rid + increased circulation through the lower buds, as well as spot-applications of a sulpher-based fungicide and removal of affected buds. I've also noticed that the fungus is growing on dead plant material so I've tripled my efforts at inspecting and removing dead material. I'm also going to ease back on waterings and in the future, add perlite to my soil for better drainage.

^one harvested plant, minus moldy buds. I expect an ounce.

I harvested the plant that was most affected, and paid close attention while trimming for more mold. I found 4-5 buds total that had signs of mold, and I am taking extra precautions while drying to keep it from popping up again (mold spores are everywhere all the time, it's just a matter of preventing them from taking hold. No visible mold is safe to smoke, but visible mold can make you sick) My other 2 plants had one bud each that was affected so I removed the moldy buds, treated the surrounding buds with fungicide, and carefully removed all dead material.

SMOKE REPORT: the high is strong, 2-3 hits and I'm stoned. Energetic and cerebral, perfect for work and play. I harvested one plant earlier than I would have liked, all cloudy, no amber, but I'm happy with the results. Taste has that familiar diesel yumyum, proper drying and curing are needed obviously :)

Looks awesome brother!!!

I saw the mold post a few days ago and tried to send you a pm but the box was full. :( If you are at 50% then I am done for because thats the lowest I can get it.. usually higher even with lights on! PS, the other day I saw a temp/hydrometer that you can put in your cab's and then it relays to a hand held reader. You could know your info while sitting on your couch. :)

How long to harvest the others?

Some update their threads more than once a month. :) Just kidding.

Hope to see more harvest pictures soon. How long total did you flower for, do you know off hand? Tell me if you don't... I'm not to lazy to post surf.

LOL, I'm too lazy to even harvest today <hangs head in shame>

nah, I might start chopping today, I've finally got about 25% amber after 11(?) weeks. I also ditched all my plants except the 3 in my growbox, so my veg closet is dark for the first time in about 6 months. I plan on doing a complete scrub-down of my closets and equipment after the mold incident, bug bomb the basement, and get my furnace serviced before I start up another grow.

I'm working up to it, I like to prepare myself for a long trimming session. Got to set up camp too, beer and chips, bong, music, all my scissors, rubbing alcohol, set up the drying rack.... wish I could hire somebody to do it LOL. I'll have pics up in the next day or two ;)

OK... I just got done with one plant, took me about 3 hours. Looks like it's twice as much as the last plant, but judge for yourself..

...still have to cut down the beast, she's lost nearly all her fanleaves. I chopped up the buds for quicker drying, as much as I could anyway without them falling through the grate. Also, no more mold issues :hump:

SD is the dankest, wettest, heaviest, densesest, frostiest fucking weed I've ever grown!~!~! Plants were supported with cable ties and twine, scissor hash is golden brown, fingers sticky like superglue, dank smell overwhelming. It's heady just trimming a batch...
