where did you guys find the foam pieces at walmart? I was looking up and down the toys section, infant section forever w/ no luck. All i found was lil alphabet letters but they were too small, i also found skinny lil foam pads. Would a mouse pad work?

I used foam poster board stuff, its in the school section at walmart

It doesnt work the best, but i just cut out squares, poked a hole in the middle, then shoved the cutting through. It hold the cutting suspending it in water, and prevents the light from getting in

Does anyone know whether some bubble wands (that is, plastic tubing that goes around the reservoir and bubbles instead of an airstone) work well? I am building one of these cloners' for my perpetual grow cab to root clones and I was curious about using them?

Goods, I use the cheap styrafoam cups, use a hole saw bit to make holes. You could cut the upper part of the cup off if you wanted to make them smaller. Couple dozen for under a $1 and easy to label.

Let me know if you figure that one out Dave. I was getting near 100% rooting last time I used it, this time they have just been sitting there, someone suggested that maybe my razor wasn't sharp enough or my cloning powder was getting old. I dunno, I need to resolve it like now though.

Why not add a drop or two of superthrive?

Maybe dip the roots in some gel, add some rooting hormone in a mild concentration to the water and a couple crushed aspirin?

could be the ticket.

I advised a buddy of this cloner for a hard to clone plant he has, the thing sucks at cloning so he needs to change up his program on it. Humidity dome is killing over half of this particular one.

some cloning questions that i never see answered :
- do you use 18/6 or 24/0 lighting schedule?
- do you use the same 400w MH or do you have CFLs for cloning?
- do you foliar feed or just use a dome, or both or none?
there is more to it than just the clone gel and the cuts, but nobody ever talks about it.
