Just a cheap light meter would tell you if they put out the same lumens. It doesn't even have to be accurate, just consistent.
i figure if they put out roughly the same lumen and the cri is roughly the same... who cares if they are real or not?

yes just using the built in samsung/android lux meter centered @ 24" under the 2 boards would be a decent enough comparison. should put out the same number or close to.

yea, that's what I'm thinking too.

my personal opinion on the matter is, if the board using whatever diodes is putting out roughly the same lumens and the cri is roughly the same within +-5, i will be happy.

If the PCB board is supposed to have and ounce of copper and only has half of that or less that's an issues. Also is the tracing in the boards consistaint ? I don't think it's a matter of real Samsung chips May not be?".

Also I know if I buy more than one HLG board they will test the voltages and match the other boards also.

They did the work and sphere tested there boards. Something made them want to switch to US manufacturing. I'm all for macgyvered DIY stuff.

i imagine dealing with american companies you don't have to question every diode and you actually have recourse if you are ripped off, plus everyone likes "made in america" better than "made in china" - domestic companies are more trustworthy and under the same court jurisdictions

Meiju is shit.
Do not say I did not warn you, first order, second pessimism.
some look for quality, their connectors do not resist any weight and sometimes they put too much solder and do not enter the cables. They sent an offer via email of cheap pcb and sent them to junk mail.
I'm just telling about my experience with Meiju.

yes, if they are putting out the same lumens and are the same CCT/CRI that means they are the same bin

I had to look this company up, this has to be one of the worst examples of a scam. Was looking through the crap they are listing and look at this samsung 561c, These specs do not match lm561c.

I as for cobs i only buy thru authorized channels (direct from mfrs or their specified distributors). As for boards i only sell HLG and they are on top of QC
Someone mentioned earlier that you ran tests on some boards and/or cobs -- is that not the case?

I'm not understanding your experience with Meijiu. Are you saying:

Some of the assemblers look for quality?

What do you mean their connectors do not resist any weight? And what do you mean they do not enter the cables?

Are you saying you received an email directly from them for "cheap pcb" and you placed the emails directly in your junk mail? If so, did you ever order from them?

On the bright side, Alibaba does have Trade Assurance refund policy, and my credit card company will likely provide me a refund if Alibaba does not help.

So if they do send crap, I will immediately return them or request refund.

You are the most confusing poster I've come across, you keep saying you will just get a refund or dispute with credit card, well that takes time a long time approx 60 days to happen, as well you only get the cost of the PCB's you will still be out the shipping. which can be half the order cost so not quite a simple get your money back. As well who do you think Alibaba is going to listen to, the seller or the buyer, they will favor the seller because of how much sales they do. I use to work in the dispute process for this and if the seller counters your claim then your card company will step back and make you settle with the seller directly. You only get your money back if the company does not counter your claim.

That is absolutely not true at all. I have, several times, received a refund when the seller countered the claim, and in all cases my credit card company worked with me to get my refund.

There is nothing confusing about any of my claims, its your reading comprehension and need to troll that is confusing.

Of course it will take time to get my money back, as is does with most places, sans Amazon. And I potentially may be out of the shipping costs, in this case, $60. And it will be lesson learned.

Are you saying you used to work at Alibaba in the dispute department?

FAIL!
ZOMG! you dont even own a lm561c so dont even know what it looks like in real life.
I'm only using your words, dipshit.

nc208, let me ask you something, do you want me? Like sexually or something? You've managed to attempt to troll me in two threads now. I mean, Im flattered that you find me so attractive, but I'm into chicks, so I am going to politely decline your advances. Also, for future reference, if you are attracted to someone, try not to be so 5th grade about it, I don't like getting my hair pulled.

thats correct.

It would be difficult to identify 561b vs c without a good control

with the variations in diode number and copper between different boards when i say control i mean exact same board
Yes....and when will new Quantum boards be in stock......
3000k 80s and heatsinks by the end of this week
