Hey guys, after many attempts to get a close up pic of the board’s diodes from the chinese vendors, some said the 561c is no longer on stock, and only one of them (mufue) sent me this... what’s your opinion ?
Crazy cuz this is what Mufue sent me after I paid. Not sure what they are but damn they grew some crazy add weed.

That board clearly reads "Samsung LM561C S6".

Now the Chinese vendor is saying the chips are 561B and somehow made it on to the board by mistake.

I have no dog in this fight, but if you're paying for something as advertised and it turns out not to be what's advertised, then someone is selling you a pup.

Personally, I appreciate any effort to discover the truth so that others may learn and act appropriately.

Yup... they said they dont stock anymore, after i asked some quality control paper and pics
Interestingly, I've been speaking with them for the past few days. They have shown me they do have and do use LM561C. I have not asked for quality control paper, but did get a bunch of pics. What is a quality control paper?

How can you tell? They look different than what's on the qb boards, but similar to the "knockoff" ones Alibaba has been selling.
Mine are from mufue too. I got these ones 3/ 4 months ago, they are the Mk2 Growgreen boards that @VegasWinner designed and he stated they were 561c and I've no reason to disbelieve him.
And they grow great plants.
I have a couple of QBs so I'm gonna take a close up of those diodes when the lights come on... compare the 2 boards chips.
But I'm with Randomblame on this one ... he's usually right

Yeah. So bold. I can't believe he admitted they weren't LM561C. If he's a con man seems like he just would have ignored me. He said it was an accident and it's never happened before. I'm working on getting the real deal (Lol) from him at a reduced price (a definite gamble). He's not happy that there is a forum discussion and he asked me to take this down. It's definitely in his best interest to get real boards to customers. I told him is is really losing out on a huge market and really making a bad name for himself. Told him I was sending to others for testing . Such a shame...All he had to was provide the real thing at a higher cost and I would have bought them. Was it really worth all this? It must go back to the culture that others have described in this thread.
I'm willing to send one to @Randomblame or @CobKits once they come mid January if they'd like to give them a once over. Looks at copper thickness and whatever.

One-off buyers seem to not have the protection of an assured, continued relationship with the sellers. If they think you're only going to be buying a few boards, what's to stop them from ripping you off? I imagine they're less quick to play games with a company like HLG, because they know it's in their best interest to keep them happy and keep the money rolling in. I'm sure they also know that a lighting company is better equipped to spot a fake than your average consumer. Hopefully threads like this will make some kind of difference.

lol take this down. that does sound like a scammer. how does the wrong diode 'accidentally' make it on. all 8 boards? sounds like some bullshit. of course he had to admit it otherwise he outs himself as a scammer for sure, that will bold face lie to you. they are weasels, they rip everyone off until they get caught then make excuses that it was a mistake. had you never said anything, and ordered more boards, they would have sent the exact same ones. i doubt this is the first time. sorry if that sounded rude, but i'm angry for you! i was talking with this guy as well

and even if he sends LM561C, would a simple PAR meter be able to tell the difference between top and bottom bins, without a verified top bin board of same design and diode count to compare with?
if the PAR is about the same, and lets say the lumens are roughly the same, and perhaps the CLI is roughly the same... does it matter if its "top" or "bottom" bin?

im not implying anything, but it is a curious question.

I asked them for some kind of paper or tests from Samsung, so that they can prove they are selling legit units. I told them my company wants to buy 1000 pcs but first i need 4 samples. only Meijiu send me smth like this. It does look alien to me, but, along with the diodes pics, they sent me this :
