The Truth About Flushing

Well I never thought I'd be sayin this but it seems that old sayin bout no such thing as bad publicity is true. Subscriptions to the forum are up so I gotta say thanks to the trolls & haters for wakin up my old threads and spreadin the hate LOL

Ya see ya can bash what's different all ya want but my methods have been duplicated, hell a grower even replicated the T5 tanning booth and his first harvest after doin so was his highest yield to date. And while MMG likes to say my gear sucks, his post are the only ones LOL a whole bunch of smoke reports say otherwise. Not to mention I get emails pretty much every week like this one I got last week ,,,,

Hello my dear friend! I have returned from attending my 5th annual Lightning In A Bottle music festival in California to share great news with you. Without saying too much, I received many rave reviews on the product of your education here. People kept coming back to tell me how great the experience was and I think I even made a professional jealous. They said something lame about flushing and wouldn't talk to me for the rest of the weekend. But I just wanted to say you were right. Thanks so much!

So please do keep trollin me and help spread the word as while youze guys don't get it, there are others that do 8)
And here I thought you were going to talk about science :). And yes RM bad publicity is just that, bad lol.

Yeah, again, if you decide to take my comments out of context.

That's what fucking douchebags do.
[/QUOTE]

You did say that!..Ill quote it to you.
"No. Just, no. T5s have their place in the veg room, but anybody trying to use them for flowering is going ass backwards. It just doesn't make sense. Aside from CFLs(again, another florescent), they are literally the worst option you could choose for a flowering room. That's a fact - not an opinion. The only pro to T5s would be in limited head space situations, and in this realm QBs and softly run cobs shit all over florescents. Those are facts, not opinions."

See your agreeing with me (twice i think). T5s do have their place. Now If people want to use em for flowering as well..good luck to them. I dont know why you care so much on what people decide to use that you want to argue about it for.. Like why give a fk? Maybe go argue on a lighting thread or a lighting post.

Do you hate RM3 so much you jump on the type of lighting he and others use and make a huge fuss over it on a thread about Flushing? On a post I made that was about letting people do their own thing? ( I dont like or dislike RM3 ((he just an internet dude like you)) and i dont own a T5 But i do like reading about the ways people grow and their thoughts on why)

I say it again as you dont seem to comprehend it. If everyone grew the same way this forum would be fkn boring. As a semi retired bored 1/4 of the day person, ill read stuff thats interesting and thankful for it.

And im more of a big prick than a small syringe.
IDK were you come from to think calling someone a Douchebag is a big deal...its the kinda thing you would say to a 5 year old. You may need to up your game when you try insulting Australians. We use the words Fuck and Cunt in every second sentence..

Nice catch!

Jelly, but I'll be hitting the Channel Islands a few times per month.
I'm much happier fishing in the ocean but it's a two day drive from here :(. I head south in the winter for a couple of weeks for sail fish as well, unfortunately I don't get out much here in the summer and the boat sits a lot tied to the dock lol.

Im also a trout fisherman (not a very good one) and try to get out a few times every season. Best size so far is only a 6 1/2 pound rainbow but was out of a river. Friend of mine got a 16 pound a couple of seasons ago in one of the local lakes. Not even close to the record here of 29 1/2 pounds but the biggest caught in awhile id say. Its stuffed and sits in his gun room.

That's a huge rainbow! I've been up to the kuijak river in Alaska a few times for rainbows but due to an unfortunate incedent I'm not allowed in the states anymore lol. I hear New Zealand has amazing fishing :). Back in the day when I had money lol I did a lot of traveling to some pretty cool fishing holes, hence no money now, the bottom fell out of my Mexican brick market lol.

El. Oh. El.

Do you feel better now?

Again, context is everything. We were specifically talking about a guy who uses T5s in flowering, which is cool, I guess, if this was 1992.

Who would call a small child a douchebag? That just doesn't make sense.

No way. You say fuck and cunt??? That's amazing. Do go on.

Of course you can grow weed under t5's. 1000watts of t5's is a little ridiculous. Seems like dudes stuck in the past to me.
well as long as the right amount of PPFD at a certain wavelength ( depending on stage of the plant ) hits the plants it doesnt matter which light source you use.
you could even create your own sun, burn your grandma or fire a rocket.

But in terms of efficiency there might be more efficience ways up to now. If he wants to use them, let him :)

I told my dad to throw away that old DVD-Player but he said no. I got a new Bluray-Player that can read all formats. Then one day i found an old DVD.
I tried it in my Blueray-Player but it didnt work. Too many scratches, but that old damn motherfcking DVD-Player played it as it would be a brand new DVD.

So you see there is always pros and cons, and T5's have their pros for sure!

t5's are the equivalent of a VHS :)

I know what you're saying. But dudes got a canopy covered in toxic chemicals ready for an accident to ruin his grow. There's a million reasons not to use t5's and very few to use them in flower especially when you can customize your spectrums with LED's super easily. T5's are a waste of fuckin money.

I know what I am talking about I grew with CFLs for over a year and it was a money pit. Non stop spending on more fixtures and shit. Replacing bulbs.... it never fuckin ends. Then you break one and throw out your entire grow. Fun fun... I mean if you don't care that breaking those lights can cause all sorts of health risk then by all means be a dumb ass using outdated technology they don't even use for warehouse lighting anymore......

Utter bull shit....cept for the cost part...

As long as you can supply the right intensity and spectrum.....The "source" does not matter!

Some would say the best lake trout fishing in the world ;).
Down here the Skamania's are starting to hit on the piers. Should get a real hard bite for a cpl of weeks - now that the temps are dropping a bit to more normal. Love catching the Skam's in summer and Steelhead in the later fall and winter.....I prefer them to Salmon.
Don't get me wrong. Salmon are a blast, that big initial "run" by Kings is fun as hell but, nothing beats the "aerial" adventures of a Skam or a Steely!

The Laker fishery has seriously improved on Lake Michigan over the years. Early boat fishing for the big lake fish, generally mean limit catch's of lakers.....You can catch some seriously large "Footballs" if you get out and literally troll around floating ice in the spring!
Um, that would be Brown trout if'n ya never heard them called "footballs" for the biggest lake living browns, that return to the streams in the fall to spawn...11 pounds plus is fairly common on those.....Not a lot of us get so excited to go out and be cold to run that fishery.

I go out with a cpl of friends and we drop our winter steel head boat(s) in the big lake to do it.
Boat is like this one..

Heated interior

"FOOTBALL" = Big Lake based Brown trout. Borrowed this pic as an example.....once in awhile you'll get one while early fall fishing rivers for steely's. Mostly at Dam base. But early spring, on the big lake......YEAH BABY! Great fighting fish with masterful leaps!

This is a dang big brown! It does happen though!

So what did I say that was bullshit? the filled with toxic chemicals part?

http://www.lrc.rpi.edu/programs/nlpip/lightingAnswers/lat5/pc12.asp

"A T5 lamp includes less than 3 milligrams (0.0001 ounces) (Van Vleef 1996) or 5 milligrams (0.0002 ounces) (GE Lighting, T5: Online Video, 2002) of mercury."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluorescent_lamp
"Because they contain mercury, many fluorescent lamps are classified as hazardous waste. The United States Environmental Protection Agency recommends that fluorescent lamps be segregated from general waste for recycling or safe disposal, and some jurisdictions require recycling of them.[3]"

you can do the math and find out how much mercury is in his grow space.

I didn't say they couldn't grow pot, I said they are outdated and he's taking unnecessary risks with outdated technology.

Lights break it happens. Pretty sure we've all broken a light or 10.

YOU SAID -
"There's a million reasons not to use t5's and very few to use them in flower especially when you can customize your spectrums with LED's super easily. T5's are a waste of fuckin money."

As for the Toxic part - So what..... You think your going to save the world from mercury by not using fluorescent lighting?
Tell me here. What is the lighting in your kitchen? Bath? Basement? Garage?

Now tell me how much more mercury is in those good old T12's and T8's vs. the T5? Think CFL's don't have any? Think again pal, they just are so small that no one's taking them into account. Now, tell me how many of those are going into open landfills? You think that the volume of those has increased any to make up for the lower amounts of Floro's of bigger size?

The ability to deliver spectral needs is very easy to do in T5 lighting!

It's all a choice! Just because he doesn't subscribe to your opinion. Doesn't mean he's wrong by using them!

If (and he does) use enough to deliver the needed intensity, and spectral spread.....IT WORKS!

THAT'S MY POINT!

PS, as for spectral spread on LED,,,,,If it ain't COB's it ain't worth the time or severely increased cost!
Those super dooper LED banks claim as much BS as AN does.....I have yet to see ONE brand that prebuilds and says "We supply UV" - To have the RIGHT UV nanometer banding to actually make a difference to effect anything but your wallet!

What did ODIN say about LED's?

HE'S RIGHT!
