That got closed down because you posted a big obnoxious Meem about the topic, blowing up the spot. You got outta hand.
That was the second funniest post in there, don't pretend you didn't laugh. Man, I'm still bummed that got deleted. Obviously the funniest post was when you accused PLC of hacking Amare, which deserved an equally silly response.

That ancient aliens meme was pure comedy gold. I'm laughing thinking about it.

Pretty bizarre. I plumbed my chiller to outside of the tent and moved the reflective panda film wall up just a few inches or so all about an hour ago. I went to go take the advice and move the thermometer over to on top of the res bucket and possibly move the exhaust. To my surprise, the last hour the cobs have been ON and we're holding at 82*F now. That, I can live with. Highs only 88 now. Very interesting.20160811_154537.jpg 20160811_154611.jpg 20160811_154550.jpg 20160811_154452.jpg

Nice! Sometimes it just takes a lil re-arranging. I took Temp, & PPM readings at different areas of my rooms to see if they fluctuated too. Do you use a temp wire that's usually attached to the temp + humidity monitor & place it on the top of the canopy to get the outside/canopy temps on the upper leaves too. My HPS will read 80• in the room & 88• on the canopy sometimes.
Gotta have plenty of air flow.

Nah just an ambient thermometer. I do however use a wire thermometer with a probe for my water temps. It's very handy as it reads to the 10th of a degree.

You can put a playing card or piece of cardboard over the probe to block direct light. Then you can hang it directly over the canopy under the lights without light interference. I originally had an 11* difference between the outside temp probe and the inside temp on the base. Using this cardboard cover alone brought it about 8* closer to the base temp.

thread just got bumped.now quit yer bitchin and open that amare :eyesmoke:

My point exactly! Looked good, but not a finished thread w/ results. How'd you even find that? It looked but I guess not hard enough. Lol! Bud initiation for the first 2 weeks under what?
And you stop your whining! You already know the light produces sick results. Just spend some of that dispensable cash & then open up your own. No matter what, it's a win, win situation!

Well this was after just a mere 20 minutes. In an hour or two from now, ill go snap another although you can clearly see the thermometer telling a high of 90*F. I took a few side shots of the unit as well so you can see what it looks like so full of drivers.View attachment 3754869 View attachment 3754870 View attachment 3754878 View attachment 3754880
Thanks for your pic , if you mix our unit with your diy , the temp is all from unit , that's not acceptable . And people want to see the unit's performance alone .If you can put plants under it alone , share the whole growing , that will be good for them to learn about it .

This is exactly why I posted this in the beginning of this thread. There is nothing to be learned regarding the performance of the Eco light if it it being used in conjuntion with another light.
Airwalker got a free light, and that is all good and think that he deserved it since he was the first person I remember seeing talking about the Eco light and wanting to get it to test its abilities (which is why I tagged him in the giveaway in the first place)- even if he had to pay for it, but there really is nothing to be learned of the Eco light from this thread regarding its actual growing capabilities and I think that is really what most are wanting to know about. @Airwalker16 if you do plan to replace parts and drivers etc in the light, you should first do a documented grow using only the Eco light alone before replacing anything in it. It should also be used in the footprint that Eco claims it can do(whether you think its capable of doing it or not) and see how it stacks up in factual results or just more false claims like so many other led companies make. That would put all doubt and bullshit aside and provide the first real documented grow with Eco lights instead of some "nobody from nowheresville" providing pictures saying "look what I did" with an eco light. Anyone could take pics of an eco light dangling above plants actually grown under a 1K hps.... but that still dont prove a thing or add any validity to the capabilities of these lights. Greengenes707 and Growmau5 have shown videos and documented their grows very thoroughly from day 1 on MULTIPLE grows to prove the validity of their lights capabilities -and that is why their products get purchased........proof and unrivaled documentation.
Yeah , growing alone with our unit , share with people growing journal from start to end . As you said that you can document a grow for it . Please do it alone for its own growing .

Well, send me a 400-500 light & I'll run it here on a live thread. I won't mix it with any other light & will provide it's very own space w/ 3 walls surrounding it. No cross light, no deviation from my normal grow routine, I'll provide one of my best plants & I'll record a live grow.
I told you before. No matter how your sales team acts or whatever they don't know, is irrelevant to me & many of us.
How the light performs is all that matters.
I will provide you with a completely fair & unbiased review.
BTW, I do believe it will work well.
Give it a chance in the hands of a good grower whom is willing to do the grow with your light on its own.
If I pull a lb. off your light for all to see, sales will go through the roof.
You have nothing to lose. And allot to gain. I will also personally suggest it is you who gets the commission off the RIU sales, if it works that way.
I will not make this offer again, as it is I & I only who stands to lose big coin if it does not perform well.
As far as you being so concerned with Amare, I get it. But know this, you are not playing in the same ballpark.
If you are, then the results will prove it so.
We already got your message that you want to do a grow , side by side growing with Amare led . We will consider it . As we get many offer which they want us to send them one free led grow light panel for testing growing , or something like that . We did 2 units before , get cheated , so we do it again more carefully , hope you understand .

With all due respect he won the light, you didn't give it to him specifically for testing reasons. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You created a giveaway contest for publicity... You have to accept that in that circumstance people are gonna use the light like they want to use it.

Start rounding up the active Amare growers since your always trying to cut them up. I bet my new pro4 which is only 3 cobs would beat any light Eco sells. Only issue I have im not taking down a good performing light for an Eco to test or another companies benefit. I also don't own a minisplit and I think it's going to be needed.

Ok, let's clarify something here.
It's not that I want to do a side by side, it's that I'm willing to.
When you first came around & still to this day, you like to compare your lights to Amare's. I think you even said somewhere that you'd like to see the side by side because you were trying to convince people that your Eco will do just as good.
That's when I offered to take the RISK.
I stated that if what you say is true, & it could match the results or even come close, then that would lock-in your sales around here, that's for sure.
So, I'd be doing you a big favor if you indeed have that much confidence in your product.
I'd wish you the best of luck & try my hardest to grow good plants w/ as perfect an environment as I could achieve.
Sorry to hear you got beat for lights but that's not me. I take huge pride in honesty & being a straight shooter.
Last thing I'd want, would be to lose yields, & offering to grow w/ a Chinese fixture w/ shady reviews is a risk in its self.
Matter of fact. I'm kindve stupid for even offering.
I would like to see someone do a side by side w/ Eco & any light, whether it's a DIY or even a Mars. HPS would be the one to beat though as these lights are said to be replacements, using less power & cooling, correct?
I feel all LEDs on the mkt should be put up against an HPS. I feel any & all led grow lights should have benefits over HPS in order to even be legitamily accepted on the led mkt place.

Did some tweeking to the tent. Opened a flap up by the oscillating floor fan to pull in outside room air in. Helped immensely. Guess I gotta put my foot in my mouth. Pics will do the talkin.
Also that little runt that looked hopeless has sprung new life and is quickly growing a new set of leaves. Pretty sweet. 20160812_145705.jpg 20160812_145719.jpg 20160812_145727.jpg

Man i just had a total shit show on my hands.

One of the buckets i used, the grommet was dripping water out because the hole wasn't cut well enough. It had a little chunk out of it. Had to drain the system Into holding totes. Then go buy a temporary Lowes bucket and a 1" coupling. I just connected the two pieces where the tee was going into that grommet. So now one of the buckets is isolated in its own water. It's gonna get hot.. lol
I'll probably need ice bottles to keep er cool.

I switched out the runt to this bucket though as it was in my favorite ones spot, the Tangerine power. :-0
So crisis averted. I don't know HOW that grommet held up, up until now. But I CAN say I'm thankful I caught it. I woulda had a big fucked up, flooded tent to deal with

It's obvious... the cooler temps caused the material to shrink and produce the leak. :)

No no no. Here's the bucket. See the chunk that's missing? I don't know how I even allowed myself to use it! New ones are ordered but won't be to home Depot for probably a week so this will have to do for now. I made a hole for the air stone in the top, but that's it. Also, the pieces I removed. I had to also change the 4 way supply, into a tee to bypass that bucket from being filled.
But as you can see, the runt and tang pow have swopped places for now. Hell, maybe I'll just leave it that way, even once it's fixed. Who knows. 20160813_182157.jpg 20160813_182316.jpg 20160813_182411.jpg 20160813_182338.jpg 20160813_182332.jpg 20160813_182347.jpg
