300 w Mars hydro

I have been running 2 Mars hydro 300w LED , two weeks veg with
I used CFLs(130w total) from seedling to the end of week 2
This tent is the same dimension as yours 2x4x5
This is the end of week 2 going to 3. Just got both of my LEDs around the same time.
New 4x4x7 tent on the end of week 4
This is the of week six.both plants are 18in. more or less
This one is Money maker from strain hunters or green house seed i think they are the same
this plant is BBxWW also from green house seeds
I can not blame the lights for giving me such small plants (maybe alittle
), This is only my second grow. I had nutrient issues; heat issues for awhile untill i got my 4x4x7 tent. But even then temp was not optimal. Now i have bought a great linefan, plan on getting a 400wat HID and mixing it with my 2 300 wat mars LED as supplemental light, sure these lights aren't as intense as a HID but i've read LED can provide very high quality weed because of the different light spectrum . HID+LED= high yields, higher quality. Theory was having both lights closely mimics the suns light specturm...
I still need to see how my harvest goes before i start preaching this.

how many watts can i draw from one socket without blowing or tripping anything? only have one in room where I'm working?

Thats something you have to check with your landlord or something.
Most modern residential circuits are 15 or 20 amps, so we're looking at a max load of either (15A x 120V =) 1800 watts or (20A x 120V =) 2400 watts before the breaker trips. The breaker will be labeled either 15 or 20.

ok so another question, just got light and tent today my room is sitting at 78 now with nothing running, am i gonna have to buy ac to cool room?

Should of went with a 400 watt air cooled hps hood. Those mars lights run hot..definitely hotter then an aircooled hps hood.

Don't lie to him. I have 2 mars hydro 300's running 18/6 in my closet grow room. They only increase my temps by about 4 degrees. Their's a reason why people are going with LED's and trust me they are the future. HPS lights are inefficient, expensive in the long run and can be outright dangerous for small grows. To the original poster, get 2 mars hydro lights and grow some quality bud my friend. I don't work for them but I grow my medicine with them and I get passionate about LEDs every now and then.

Mars are cheaper Chinese leds that use outdated technology. If you're really into led then you no they suck and aren't as efficient as even aircooled hps.. I can keep an aircooled 1000 watt hps closer to the canopy without doing damage then you can keep those leds that combine to only a couple hundred watts. If you use less watts you get less heat...yes thats a fact.. doesn't make your Mar's efficient though. 1000 watts of mars led is just as hot as 1000 watts of hps plus you get way more weed.......and you can't air cool mars...you're way off, you've been soaked by marketing gimmicks.

In the winter you can crack a window in the summer you'll need an ac.. no way to get around it.

Had them for almost a year now. On my 3rd harvest growing 4 Dina Fem OG Kush. I pulled almost half a pound dry last harvest but I do veg for 7 weeks and I top 3-4 times and LST. But yeah no problems so far. I'll be getting the Mars 2 900's on their website when I get more money. I dont know why people trash this company so much. People are stuck in the past and I believe HPS is the past.

I was thinking about doing 2 plants and trying scrog method what do you think? do you add any lights for flower?

LOL 1000w hps? Why did you even bring that up when we are talking about 300w lights? I bet you turn your AC on high to keep that room cool. But I digress and back to the point .How many personal growers want to use a 1000w hps for their medicine? How many small growers want to set up 2 carbon filters and have them on high to cool their small space? Not everyone wants to grow 10 plants and increase their electricity bill by an insane amount. And to finish there are way to many videos on youtube showing LED's equaling or outdoing HPS lights as far as yield and potency. Less money, better bud, no air cooling needed means LED beats HPS hands down.

thank you, tent is in room with water heater decent space wanna see what the temp looks like over night. no central air in my apartment gonna by one huge ac to cool house and Put one in my room should lower the overall temp of the house

In the led world, you're the one stuck in the past. You obviously work for mars..I've personally seen a mars1600 used . pulls 7hundres something watts from the wall.. complete garbage. . Doesn't compete with a 600 watt air cooled single ended set up.. hot af.. can't air cool it. That's only a single ended set up talk about a De fixture omg you're so blown out of the water.. stop spreading lies the led community hates mars.
