Yup cannabis specific nutes are overpriced snake oil . But fuck Miracle Grow!! You enjoy paying Monsanto money?? Jacks is at least close to as cheap 4 pound tubs for like $20 bucks at greenhousemegastore.com and it even works great for legal plants.
do most major stores ( menards , lowes , home depot ) carry jacks in their fertilizer section?

I'm sure they got it somewhere but I only bought it online it's not at the Home Depot around me though but I haven't been to the gardening section in years them stores always suck for gardening supplies I don't even buy wood from Home Depot. Lol, I got a hardware store near by that sells everything I need even bails of Pro-Mix never checked the nutrients though a 4 lb tub lasts me at least a year probably closer to two so I don't even look. Lol

Okay, so we should all consider General Hydroponics to be evil too, is that correct? Because they are owned by Scotts. They were bought by Scotts for $130m in 2014. http://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/blog/2015/04/exclusive-scotts-hydroponics-deal-was-its-biggest.html
Fuck General Hydro! AN Jungle Juice is the same damn thing only cheaper so no point using GH unless you like paying extra money to Monsanto. Lol, I tried GH anyway and it's really not better than Jacks Classic I see no difference but the price.

Look, at the end of the day if your happy and content with what your doing, have at it.

My personal opinion is not to support them. I don't use chemical fertilizers. I'm organic. For smoke and veggies. I try to live self sufficient. I compost, vermicompost, and use the manure from my livestock.

I know everyone is not capable of doing that. They do have better choices. Monsanto is a horrible corporation. Read into what they do and who they are.

They make military ordinance. They make and push GMO seeds. They will sue the little guy into bankruptcy because thier own pollen contaminated the farmers field.

They very well are capable of causing irreversible harm to this planet and the life on it.

Exactly, neither are better than Jack's Classic, which I can recreate easily for even less money by using it's base constituents.

First off, I don't support GH, AN, Scotts, Monsanto, or anyone for that matter. You will never find me telling you to buy this or that brand. I am not a believer in brand loyalty. It's a waste of money.

Second, I don't spend money on liquid blends. We all know it's a waste of money.

I know a lot about Monsanto. I do not support them as a company, but I feel the need set a record straight.

The industrial chemical manufacturing that Monsanto used to do ended in 1996, technically, when it spun off that side of it's company into another. That company was eventually sold in 2012. Currently, Monsanto only deals in Agricultural related products and services, although they do also own a company that does weather predictions, again, targeted at the agriculture industry. Monsanto is the third largest non-GMO seed supplier in the world. And if you actually know people who are farmers and farm hundreds of acres, you'll know a significant amount of them buy seeds every year. Even those that doesn't buy GMO seeds. Also if you read closely, that is, like the case law surrounding Monsanto and not the articles written about them, you might find that Monsanto is not actually always in the wrong. They've gotten a lot of bad press surrounding the ownership of their RoundUp Ready GMO seeds as well as other GMO seeds and a lot of that bad press was going on when the case was not even settled yet, so there was a lot of prejudgement by the press before the Supreme Court ruled on the case. I don't consider them a company that is substantially worse ethically, than many other larger corporations. Interpret that how you want, but basically, I consider them to act in their own interests in a way that will often seem scummy or shitty, like all large corporations.

I don't care if you don't buy from them. I don't care if you glossed over this. But just know that Monsanto is not as evil as the media has made them out to be. They are just the normal kind of corporate evil.

All weed ive seen grown with mg smelled like dish soap man.
Miracle grow is what the chinks use to grow in uk. Ask any1 whos comne across chink weed what it smells like. Will it grow well? Yes dont doubt it. Not sure how easy itd be to leech propperly though?
I agree with you that ''expensive'' nutrients are a waste of time, though good nutrients will help a lot. Though not as much as people think. I dont stick to any brands i just know which ones to avoid haha. Nutrients are only one of the growing factors and i really dont think they play as important a role as air, humidity, temperature and CO2. In fact if you dont grow in a big city, youll see great results with co2 enrichment.
Imo, if you manage to keep temperature fluctuations in a narrow range, temps dont go over 25/26 and you have an excelent air flow and circulation, water temps never drop below 18C and keep lights close to plants. The difference from nutrient line to nutrient line is not the greatest. A good base fertilizer for macro and micro nutrients, a bloom booster some pk booster is all you need to get great results. If you want amazing ones, huic and fulvic acid just makes weed taste great, ive found generous use of carbohydrates can increase bud density A GREAT deal and i find vitamin B complex help keep roots healthy for that shine throughout flowering. For flushing I water with mollasses once or twice then plain water til cut down and the ash of my buds is always whitish grey, never black.
It costs me about 30 to 50 euro per light per crop in nutrition with liquid nutes.I do get a Cannabis Social Club grower discount though, think its 30%.
Still nothing is cheaper than making your own soil, some of the best weed i grew was on organic self tilled soil and water only throught crop. Soil just keeps on getting better too from crop to crop. Though with that method best fro growing bigger plants, never had great results in sea of green with that soil.

For the price of Jacks Classic I think I will skip making it $20 for a 4lb tub sure you may make it a little cheaper but not when you consider time is money.

I am one for keeping it simple and am stupified by all the bottle of crap sold to people at garden supply stores. Sadly most of use fall victom to this in the beginning. Fuck Scotts and Miracle-Gro. It is really sad that General Hydroponics was sold to Scotts, so far it seems that not much has changed. I will use up what GH producta i have and do use which are not many, then i will find other alternatives. I am currently using Hydroponics Research V+B Dirty all in one powder nute and so far so good.

If you do use Advanced Nutrients just use there base, no need as a new grower to buy all there additives. But I do recommend using Voodoo Juice if you can afford it.

I have used Jungle Juice with the Lucas formula same shit as the General Hydro 3 part works great. But now I use Jacks Classic Bloom Booster and All Purpose works just as good only cheaper and your not paying extra money for water fancy labels.

The nutrients are just one small part of growing.
