The best way i've found to dry flowers is to use dessicant. (salt or silica). In a container to keep air movement down. You have to use the dessicant to pull the moisture out of the air, so it kinda keeps the offgassing buds/aromas more intact.

yea lmao. Every time I open the jar there's a weird smell. It's not mold because they're pretty dry and I've checked them over a few times a day. It's not a mold smell. I think it's going good since when I do open the jar they're nice and moist. Hope it gets better but it does smoke good and get me high, it just doesn't taste awesome.
Try a more organic approach next time. It might help.

You concern me when you say they are nice a moist... My first harvest (this summer) I had dried and cured in the jars for about 3 weeks before the mold hit... I didn't not open my jars for 2-3 days and 2/3 jars the bud was ruined from mold. May I suggest you take the nugs out and if the stem doesn't make a clean snap the let the buds sit out on a piece of cardboard for another 12-24hrs. When in the jars the moisture from the inside of the buds can make its way to the outside making it a perfect environment for mold to form. Don't make the same mistake I did and enjoy your smoke! What was your final yeild?
well they're not moist but bendy if that makes sense. I open the jar every 4 hours or so and let them get dry to the touch again then close it up. i hope I'm not opening them to much. I dont have a scale but by the looks of it I have a little over a quarter. I would of had a lot more but I kept taking sample nugs because I ran out of my regular stash. I definitely should've waited.
I really dont know where its from but It's always top shelf quality. I get an oz at a time and it lasts me only 2 weeks, 3 if i'm lucky. I smoke way too much.

Check out my old pic about 15 years ago. DWC Scrog. 3 finger wide colas.. I know you could do the same thing. It was with a 400.
Im pretty sure that would keep ya happy. It was an unpruned mess, but it made for beautiful colas. I wish I had some other pictures of micro grows I did like this one but I lost everything since the site overgrow went down... That website what the shit..

If your wife is like mine. Explain the cost benefit factor and privacy of letting you grow with at least a 250 watt HPS light because the plants can't grow much under the CFLs and you don't want to waste her and your spare time on something that won't do very well.
