injunction/court case updates

From what I understand there are two types of left outs.
The people that had mmar Lic prior to the cut off date that need changes made to their paperwork for any reason. Location amounts etc. there was a patient that fit that criteria originally included in the allard group but said patient was dropped to make it an easier case for the lawyers to win for the others.

Then there's those of us that we're completely left out and fucked into the mmpr because our sickness didn't happen before the cut off date or dr's wouldn't sign until then.
If an mmpr patient were included into the discussion perhap everyone would have the same rights. The way it should be.
Just my two cents
anyone else have a say in this as to who's who and why?

Being cut off for the fact that you did not have a license yet and were trying sucks but...they had to draw their line...HOPING !!!
Hoping and assuming that the injunction would not continue (he is the judge) and that he would not be responsible for the outcome. Plus we have new rules in the near future.
I understand Conroy not including these people but rather fighting for them indirectly.. if he wins we all win...

Being left out and fucked into the MMPR...???
If people didn't have a license on that final date..That's not left out
If people had a license and gave in to the MMPR . I can see Conroy not fighting directly for them either but rather all for one and one for all, using the ones he can fight easily with. Just my thought..
I know people who knew they had to get renewed before a certain date and they got changes made as well.
I forget now but if you were licensed..you were being told to stop but had options to fight as well.
The ones who renewed and continued like nothing was wrong got the injunction.
The ones who stopped because they were told to!.. WERE SCREWED!!!!!
As Dispensaries are being told now. Even the police are realizing that going after sick people isn't going to work...
So.. the fight is about patients who had the right to grow and were set up and growing at the time...as there was a time set.

I renewed mine 3 months early to make sure I got in and told other patients on here to do the same also told every one not to give up their pink slips. some were left out because they gave up that being said some were left out because they got screwed by HC. never roll over for the govt. they will give it to you from behind hard and dry don't ever give up the fight.

i was left out because i needed (and need) to change DG's and also grow sites. we are not allowed any changes so in essence i have no access but i have current paperwork. i can possess because of the injunction...I can't change site because of what CONroy did in trying to get the variance. his weak attempt didn't do much of anything.
on to the good news-i found out my Dr will help out in getting a sec 53 (not 56) so i am allowed to possess.
i have to send in my new information to HC to get turned down. then i get the sec 53 as well as the information (statements and questions) the good ol' CONroy drafted in case the site gets busted. there's some protection there. it might take a few months but if Allard doesn't help, we can go that route.

Ya that's about what I expected.
So mmpr guys like me are even less than left outs.
Thanks for clearing it up and being nice about it.
I guess it makes sense to argue points about "people's rights and freedoms" but to only include a fraction of the population.
I guess that's why I'm not a rich lawyer.

I'm not a left out but refuse to abandon those who were or mmpr folks. I don't feel right being covered by the injuction while others are not..pisses me off. I'm not special and I don't like a system where some of us get gravy while others get vinegar.
In my mind this isn't settled until all patients have new grow rights or new DG rights or can move.

has anyone seen Kirk T's reply about CONroy? this is from his Facebook page
"
This is a totally separate case from Allard. It applies to the 4 people only because typically that's how lawsuits work. They apply to the people involved not everyone. And anyone that thinks John Conroy screwed any patients is ignorant of how hard he's worked to achieve very difficult results that have benefitted tens of thousands of patients. Not to mention ignorant of how the legal process works"

i guess he doesn't get how we got screwed. CONroy helped thousands of patients but he also screwed thousands!! we are called "Left Outs" for a reason! CONroy left us out and now it looks like it was on purpose
I don't have facebook so I haven't read the full article but I'm glad Kirk's commented on this.

I've kind of said my piece on this already but it's sad that there's such an irrational hate of lawyers here. If you're going to say 'well, what Kirk says doesn't matter because he's also a lawyer' someone could just as easily turn that around and say 'well, it doesn't matter what someone here says because he's also a patient defending another patient'. These people are trying to help you guys, within the legal framework available. That's not easy.

i agree it's not easy.
i think the hate/anger is for CONroy from the leftouts. he really put up a weak attempt at getting our gardens back and offers no reasons why he discontinued in the higher court. that move makes absolutely no sense to me. i really want to know why. i believe that was our best shot at it in the higher court and not in the lower where he went.
the way the Allard case is structured-only the 4 plaintiffs have standing to appeal-it should have been a constitutional challenge and that way we would have been able to challenge as well instead of this extra step to prove we have standing.
in my case, i have to put out a LOT more $$ per month because I need to change sites.
on the good side for CONroy, i found out today that he put out an opinion on a sec 53 (not sec 56-that could take 2 or more years to be granted I was told today) and has statements and questions if needed if your new site gets busted. i am now looking into that. it still sucks having to go through that too. it will cost $275 for the sec 53 paperwork because it's treated like a renewal and they help to do the paperwork do it's done correctly

If your going to pull pieces of my comment apart then go as far as to quote me. Has any of my posts on here given you the impression that any of the other posters here defend or stand up for me? A patient standing up for a patient.... More like what's right is right and wrong is wrong. Kirk and any of the other hero lawyers that love the publicity while helping patients still make 100grand a case so don't break ur back running to get out your violin to busk for em just yet.
The legal system in Canada sucks.
Ffs how is it even defendable?
