OK, finally after only a few days, I see the basic building block is 8 COBS on 2 drivers.

I figured this was a joke by the 3rd page and scrolled through the nonsense to see when you revealed yourself. NOBODY IS LAUGHING. The Joke is not funny unless the victim laughs too. This could be a funny thread -- there is a lot of opportunity to poke fun at each other but you come off as plain mean spirited. Suggest that this thread is moved to Toke n Talk, where it belongs.

Frankly speaking, you've wasted everybody's time, take satisfaction in that and let it go.

Anyway...

I put together a rough concept of what 4 modules together would seem like. 1600w.

It is more or less to scale. 2 x 2" aluminum, 3/4" inch water pipes.
4 feet long x 3.5 feet wide as an example.

As designed, the outer two lanes are going to run hotter than the inner two. For four rows you would want to use a 4-2-1 intake and exhaust for even distribution.
Yeah, I know. Thanks. Getting the flow paths equal is just a matter of valves or simply splitting the path before the manifold and run 1 manifold per 2 rows, as you suggest. Or, you can let gravity assist by having the outside runs, a 1/2 inch lower. Lots of details to pick a concept, so I really appreciate input like that. :)

Since we are swapping real stories and not just making up trash, like dogs, I will mention a cool thing about manifold. My motorbike, 2 cyl across Triumph 1700, is set up, so that one cylinders' back pressure wave is magnified and used to "supercharge" i.e. pressurize, the other cylinders' intake wave.

It's called a resonant plenum, that both cylinders share instead of an air box. And it is tuned to 68hz or something.

Anyway.....

I can begin to think about building one module. That was a design goal, to have a base module.

But, thanks to my good friend, @bicit, I see right off the basic module is two of these on one manifold.

16 - COBs
4 - Drivers
1 - 2x2" (.25 wall) aluminium square tube

The next question is about the base. I am wondering if .25" is thick enough to take 3 threads of the hold down screws? I guess I can go with fine pitch metric.

But, I was wondering if I should be thinking of adding another 1/8" piece to the bottom?

Pro:
- easier to drill thru with no bottom stop.
- no need to change to a bottoming tap.
- clamp 2 (or 4) together and drill them all at once.
- easier to toss it, if mistake was made
- acts a thick buffer to keep the heat flow toward the water

Con:
- more work
- need to bond it with thermal glue
- might not be necessary, or desireable
