Even still, I guess I will give them a second try and will report back again. If tracking is such a necessity, it should be included/required. They must get enough chargebacks/reversals on non-guaranteed orders that it is hard to stay in business. That is said from a business perspective, not just from a guy with no seeds. Requiring tracking (if lost orders are common) would lower costs for all customers, and minimize hassles for the seller. If they didn't mark up the tracking cost so much (read: extra profit), it would be easier to swallow, but I'll consider it the cost of federal prohibition, or whatever.

You're asking for champagne on a beer budget. Pay for the gaurantee or don't is all I'm saying. You rolled the dice and blanked.

So we decided to give Herbie's the benefit of the doubt and placed a second trial order, electing to pay the extra for the tracked shipping, as everyone here suggested it is a necessity. This was included in the confirmation email:
"Unfortunately due to current problems with tracked mail not arriving we have sent your package by standard Airmail, this does not affect your guaranteed delivery and your package is fully insured."

I am not familiar with the naming convention for types of mail in Britain (standard Airmail?), but that sounds to me like I'm not getting tracking info now even though I paid for it. Someone please correct me if I'm not comprehending this properly.

Sounds like hes giving the guarantee but sending AIRSURE which is there delivery method. Dont think hes tracking it though .If he didnt provide a tracking number, then its def not tracked.

I forgot one time it took longer than usual but I received my order. I think it took like 3 weeks but I paid for the insurance and I emailed them they emailed me back and said if I don't receive it in a week, they'll reship the order.

they have stopped tracking as it was getting caught. i just got my order. they will send you a email that explains everything. my first one got nabbed and they resent.

My first order arrived in about 8 days, my second one took over 3 weeks. Both times I got the same email saying that there was no tracking, but if you paid for guaranteed delivery you will get it. Herbies is good. Responded quickly when I queried them about the wait time for my second order and told me to sit tight for another few days, and what do you know it still turned up.

No, but I also got 10x of them with my order and was wondering about them too - I'd like to know who the breeder is but it doesn't say.

So... our first order from Herbie's failed to arrive, but we decided to try a second time with a small order. This time it got here safe and sound! No tracking, and not lightning fast (perfectly reasonable time in transit to USA), but the packaging was secure, protective, and stealthy. It may be a while before these get grown out, but for now I am very pleased, and glad I let you guys talk me into it.

Herbie's also hooked me up with extra freebies, which are quite intriguing and a very pleasant surprise. While the first snafu was a bit agitating, they were responsive and more than made up for it, and have definitely earned more business. Now we just need winter to end so we can get some glorious sunshine and get some girls growing!

(I'm wondering about the mystery Afghani, too.)

I wish Herbies had a Blog or a way of letting customers know about restocks. It seems like most of their good stuff is always out and they never replenish it I.e, Archive, Gage Green, Karma, oG Raskal, maybe they should add Bodhi, etc.

I paid for it and my order got seized, herbies said they would only resend one time then I am shit out of luck, I got the email saved if you don't believe me. And I still haven't received the resent beans sooooo.....fuck herbies.
