giving defoliation during flower a try

Thanks, and likewise. Your pics remind me of the better grows I see in the local dutch forums, especially the popular amnesia haze and similar, tall colas. Being forced to grow in small spaces for decades sort of evolved in using small spaces efficiently. What type of light and hood are you using?

I got a couple of plants that definitely have purple stems from P def (as well as cold nights), will post some pics in a bit.
Thanks man. I really like growing sativas that's for sure, I like the challenge of it, keeping them healthy for an extra month or so compared to a quick indica. Growing sativas can really make people an all around better grower because they are much more fragile than a indica. I haven't grown an indica in a while but just got some mostly indicas strains recently that are growing for a flower session next month. I'm using a 1000w hps with 6" aircooled hood, I think it's a hydrofarm hood but I can't remember, the bulb is a hortilux. 440cfm fan to cool it. Very simple set up but it works really well

"Tucked deep inside the 1,603-page federal spending measure is a provision that effectively ends the federal government's prohibition on medical marijuana and signals a major shift in drug policy.
The bill's passage over the weekend marks the first time Congress has approved nationally significant legislation backed by legalization advocates. It brings almost to a close two decades of tension between the states and Washington over medical use of marijuana.

Under the provision, states where medical pot is legal would no longer need to worry about federal drug agents raiding retail operations. Agents would be prohibited from doing so."
As I thought, a giant exaggeration. First, the provision's explanation was bent beyond all recognition by the LA Times. Then it was picked up, whole cloth by Rolling Stone and High Times. But, here is the text. You see why I deek the Press? They lie.

http://theclarklawoffice.com/congress-repeal-ban-medical-marijuana/
The actual wording of the measure is quite confusing. Essentially, it states that it stops the Justice Department (Feds) from spending money to “prevent” states or the District of Columbia from “implementing” laws allowing the use of medical marijuana. It is not exactly clear what this means. Here is the full text,

“Sec. 538. None of the funds made available in this Act to the Department of Justice may be used, with respect to the States of Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin, to prevent such States from implementing their own State laws that authorize the use, distribution, possession, or cultivation of medical marijuana. Sec. 539. None of the funds made available by this Act may be used in contravention of section 7606 (“Legitimacy of Industrial Hemp Research”) of the Agricultural Act of 2014 (Public Law 113-79) by the Department of Justice or the Drug Enforcement Administration.”

Unfortunately, this provision does not end the federal ban on marijuana.

I can tell you have been seriously butthurt and HAVE been responding all day and have missed ALL the jokes. A perfect example of you missing the joke
https://www.rollitup.org/t/plants-defoliating-themselves-near-harvest-help.858513/#post-11264760

Ayr0n made the joke some guy took him serious so the joke went over his head and you post some random photo of your paint doodling that probably took you at least 15 min and that is sad. Maybe if you spent more time reading the post and less time babbling and doodling in paint you would realize whats going on.

Yeah it doesn't end the ban per say, but the are defunded federally to intervene in medical states pretty much, with no money there is no federal agents that can bust a person in a medical state, which leaves the authority at the state level. Not an all out end of marijuana prohibition, but it's a great start.

Medial states no longer have to worry about federal intervention. (collectives, co-ops, dispensaries, personal growers, ect.)

Funny i find sativas easier to grow/ more enjoyable to grow , they tend to have a more open shape and they withstand my bending and general torture better than indicas
i like the taste of indias more often, but i am not so keen on how they grow often with leafy buds, i do not like any leaf in my bud
i remove it all before smoking

always trying to find the plant/pheno that grows with a sativa frame but still makes hard kush/afg like nugs with a good calyx to leaf ratio
also with the explosive growth of many sativas during 12/12 i find the overall time is pretty close as many sativas need hardly any veg time to still yield well

Uuuuuuuuuuh....not exactly. That's why I have to dig up the text and why the Press never reports the real.

None of the funds made available in this Act to the Department of Justice may be used, with respect to the States...to prevent such States from implementing their own State laws...

What is "prevent implementing own laws"? This sound to me like the Justice is not allowed to to use this money to Lobby. It means in that case, the Feds were wining, dining and throwing fuck buddies at State legislature critters, as another Plot by the Man to keep the Brothers down.

Sometimes we see dark practices revealed, as they finally put a stop to it. This is a sort of inside govt power play to blow a hidden log jamb, I think. I read this as it will now allow MMJ in the other States to proceed by drying up the dirty Federal Money against it.

So, it could be much better than we thought, maybe.

If 6 more States cave soon, remember my read. :)

I agree sativas are much more tolerable to training. I use pretty much every method in my training routines, lst, supercrop, scrog net, pruning- they never skip a beat! The purple paraylsis I have going now will be about 14 weeks from veg to end of flower, so it took a while for this one to finish up, but that's a good point with the faster veg time for sativas, I never thought about it like that. I find indicas easier in the sense that they can pretty much take any nutrient you throw at them, i find it's much harder to get a toxicity with an indica. I guess I don't have a preference for which smoke I like better, I like the indicas for night time and the sativas for day time, but I definitly find that the sativa buds are so much easier to trim.

i do not like all the big stupid leaves everywhere that many indicas produce, i like the open frame of a sativa and the thinner leaves that allows the light to spread more evenly over the plants structure
some sativas need no training at all they seem to have the prefect shape, i can hardly ever say that about indicas they need to be opened up imo

i agree about the nutes i have burnt some sativa doms in veg on an ec of 1.2 when all the others were fine it was only slight burn and it sorted itself out

lol ^^

do you have one that shows the increase of twatoos over the generations
i notice some ladies today don't even have a tramp stamp , things are improving :)
Lol, I haven't seen that one yet but I'll have to find it, the tramp stamp oh lord, my girlfriend has one, actually I think the past 3 or 4 girlfriends I've had had one too, all butterflies or some tribal thing, so dumb lol

i do not like all the big stupid leaves everywhere that many indicas produce, i like the open frame of a sativa and the thinner leaves that allows the light to spread more evenly over the plants structure

Couldn't agree more with that! the 3 indicas I have going now are only about 10" tall and the leaves are freaking huge, no light getting to the lower branches at all. 80% of the plants are just fan leaves. My sativas get light all the way down to the base of the stem, no popcorn or anything. Love the light penetration on sativa doms. I can have 4 more sativa plants in the same space as opposed to running indicas I could probably only fit 8 plants in a 5x5 space
