No terp in any pic... just molasses (potassium *gasp!*)

I can't wait to try Terpinator... I bet I could grow a resin gland right out of the soil!!

Again. I never said that Terpinator won't help... but so will any other Potassium booster if you haven't been feeding them enough.

Most people use these boosters on their second grow and think "Holy Shit! They look twice as frosty!"

Usually, it's just because you're getting better at growing it.

Believe me, we know what makes plants tick. When they come up with some truly new compound that isn't available in any other form... you will know it. Patents will be flying everywhere, and chances are Monsanto will be the first with their hands in the pot. (c'mon that's like a triple pun, that shit's clever...)
"A patent isn’t the only way to acquire intellectual property protection for food products. Trade secrets are often used by companies to protect their recipes and processes, but they differ considerably from patent protection in a number of ways. With a trade secret, inventors do not disclose the inner workings or formula of the invention, and employees or collaborators usually sign non-disclosure agreements that prevent them from sharing the recipe. Many food companies and restaurants choose to use trade secrets to protect their recipes and methods because it allows them to use the secretive nature as a marketing tool. The recipes for Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, Bush’s Baked Beans, and KFC fried chicken are all trade secrets, and each company has, at some point, used that secret as a part of their advertising campaigns."

Food recipes and a chemical that boosts plant production independent of other factors are two waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay different things.

That's like saying Pfizer isn't going to patent the new "recipe" for their next batch of morphine tabs because it's a trade secret.

Right, but when your dealing with a combined list of ingredients that are not innovative like Terpinator's , it is for one way harder to get a patent and for two not even necessary if you use the trade secret model. Your MSDS is just a list safety guideline for the contents of the product and not a complete ingredient list.

I'm getting REALLY fucking tired of people's Know-It-All Bullshit on this forum, and I've been here less than a month.

You want to know what's in your precious Terpinator?

View attachment 3299189

Soluble Potash.

Oh and let's not forget the Arsenic, Selenium, Lead, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

I've tried to stay reeeeeal neutral since I've been on here... but I am about fed-the-fuck-up with kids that think they know everything because they've bought a $70 bottle of go-go juice.

Do your damn research before calling someone out.

Edit: Here's the analysis they had to submit... http://agr.wa.gov/PestFert/Fertilizers/FertDB/prodinfo.aspx?pname=7160

Now stop talking out your ass.

They always look so much better in veg. More pics from my first HID grow. Never got into HID till back in February, but I've been growing OD for years and have grown some stuff I was never too serious about and didn't care to take to harvest for years too indoor. LED, tube flouros, cfls. Its getting rather comical when people on RIU say things like Oh poo I hate it when some blub joins the forum and has been here less than a month and makes a post but doesn't know a single thing about weed. Like as if every member of RIU who recently registers becomes a new grower only that same day. Who would ever think that (gasp) maybe some of these people who recently registered on RIU might be people who have been growing for years, and learning about cannabis even longer. Who'da thunk it, there is actually other forums and sites to read, learn, watch video's, post content about cannabis, even books and magazines, and places to go to grow seminars or weed college such as Oaksterdam. But lets remember even if someone was to learn from all of these things the day they register on RIU they are a new grower that day and they know zilch and must be a kid.

Is a 1 gallon some type of standard we are all supposed to go by when buying nutes?
Its $18.95 for a 1 liter bottle and the results I've been getting have been well worth it.
At the maximum strength 1 liter makes just over 33 gallons and the recommended does can be as little as half that, so you could get just over 66 gallons. All this talk of what size the bottle is yet neither of you said anything about the concentration. Or how much or little it takes to mix one gallon. You really seem like a couple of predators just looking to bitch about something. The product works guys.
bro, there is no reason to try to convince these guys, if you like it and you think its worth the 80$ a gallon, enjoy it!

BUT. at the 30ml/GAL suggested on my bottle for heavy fruiting, and with a 50 gallon res, a 1 liter bottle will not even give you 1 feeding :( So yeah at least a gallon bottle should be the measure of standard ;)

I'm using it in a side by side, at this point I won't speculate either way. I will say it is VERY expensive for what it claims to contain.

That is the entire point.

If the ingredients aren't innovative...

And you can get them in a cheaper form elsewhere...

Why are you paying the mark-up for the brand name and logo on the bottle?

And as for ingredients... let's clear something up here. Soluble Potash (KCl / K2O) is Soluble Potash. Whether it's in a shiny black bottle or in a cardboard milk-jug... it's Soluble Potash. By definition, it is no different. Otherwise, it would be a different compound.

I'm not sure what part of chemistry you were sleeping during...

Edit: I Am Not Saying That You Aren't Seeing Results Using Terpinator. I'm Saying You Would Get The Same Results From Other Means.

dude the msds is not the entire list of ingredients....

it may just be a dialed in blend of a few known ingredients, like most additives.

Since when did I say I bought it because it came in a black bottle, or that the sticker was cool, or told anyone else to buy it because of either of these things?
I could do without either of these and I would still buy it.

Then suggest these other means so the OP can decide what he wants to do, and it better be something that improves smell and everything else that Terpinator does as one product and cost less as well and be a safe product. Its got to be something that really shows results and I would appreciate if you link some pic's as well. Please enlighten us all and get on with it already. Please provide us with something useful instead of griping about what others are suggesting as they attempt to be helpful. Preferably a product you have actually used.

There are only so many nutrients a plant uses. You can put a quartz pebble in your solution and call it a proprietary blend. When it's all said and done, the plant only uses what the plant uses.

And there is no such thing as "Dialed-In" when it comes to out-of-the-bottle nutrients. All strains feed differently and require different amounts of different nutrients. Otherwise there would only be one mix for everything.

But you listed a few things. Whats going to cost him more adding a 1 liter bottle even a 1 gallon bottle of Terpinator to whatever he already has, or buying a 1 gallon jug of each of the few things you use.

but there are many sources for the limited nutrients that are used. Like how we can get protein from meat as well as nuts.

I wouldn't say that bone meal and crab shell meal are the same even though they are both sources of calcium.

Where is the data sheet showing how safe PBP, CalMag, and molasses are. Just out of curiosity.
Can you provide us with any science that explains these products better to us, why those products will give his crops dank loud smell. If we are supposed to listen to you please enlighten us a bit more, especially for the OP who actually wanted to know.

For the record genetics are the most important thing for that "dank/loud" smell. I have been through countless phenos that had it all except smell. Nothing will making something with low odor, stink up the room. Very similar to how someone with a overactive metabolism cant gain weight no matter how much they eat.

When the plant absorbs it, Calcium is calcium.

What are we getting out of it? Protein. The source is irrelevant.

You are comparing an additive to Bloom and CalMag? Do you use only Terpinator in your grow? I literally listed Bloom, CalMag, and Molasses.

We are discussing effectiveness, not safety. And again, what does PBP have to do with an additive like Terpinator? How do you compare a Bloom nutrient with an additive?

But does absorption/availability/response differ between sources?
