GH for years what else works...

Not looking for a super potion... GH(3part) has been consistent for me, and my hydroponic grow style works well with it. Just wondering about some other lines that get great results.

Feel free to pitch me whatever your using.. If you have details on why you use it specifically spill the beans...

A couple years ago I switched from using the full Dutch Master Gold line to Hydroponic- Research Veg+ Bloom, a complete product

one part dry formula

They now offer +Size, a flowering amendment which I just started using early this week

Just curious, what are YOU looking for from a different nute line?
Cheaper?
Less volume of nutes to use?
A one-part?

I, like you, have used the floraseries for years(starting more than 20 yrs ago) For the last 10-12 years, i've dabbled with plenty of different nutes, and for the most part, with great results. I like to switch shit up also;-) but I always end up going back to the floraseries it seems:bigjoint:

I'm currently trying to run out of micro and bloom at the same time. I have a brand new unopened 5gal of maxibloom ready to go back to. It's much cheaper. Fantastic results with it also.

Floranova= good shit too. But costs exactly the same as the floraseries in the end. You use 1/3 the amount as you do with floraseries, But it
costs 3X more per volume. Ends up a wash. But it is much simpler than the 3part. Fantastic results using it also.

So many nutes out there nowadays, and most work just fine. They all have some minor pros and cons about them.
One thing is for sure: There is no magical nutrient line. The floraseries will grow buds just as good as any other line can.

And of course generic dry salts is going to be the absolute cheapest, as churchhaze recommends. If I wasn't such a procrastinator, I would have already mastered the dry salts years ago, and saved a shit ton of money. But, I'm also lame and sometimes lazy:-D

Im not looking for any of those goals actually. Just testing the waters to see what others use. My style is dialed in but I tweak every now and then for improvement. I'm all about quality not quantity.

I like to see how my plants respond to different nutrients. I started testing once while in flower and noticed more trich production, but I lost buds size with a particular mixture. So I'm always curious and will explore new regimens when I have the opportunity. I have teas and different top feeds for when I do organic growing, bat guano, sea bird guano, liquid fish, molasses and things like that. So when I'm in Hydro I look for varieties as well. I have mixed different lines before paying close attention to what specific chemicals I need and seeing if it was beneficial or hindered there growth.

I've read about growers bringing out different traits with different nutrient mixes so I'm just hoping to stumble across something worth while. Thats why all opinions are welcome here. I never tried the dry salts.Unless they completely dissolve I dont think my system is going to benefit from them. I get enough residue and salt build up on my drip from running high ppms. I would probably use them in a DWC type grow since I do that every now and then as well.

once again thanks to everyone who contributes:cool:

i love general hydroponics, used the 3 part for years then switched to the flora series for years because its more organic than the 3 part but now i use maxi grow for veg and clones and maxi bloom for flower,,its a powder but disolves easily enough and ive been getting bigger yields and better clone rates and faster growth in veg believe me just because it costs less does not mean its not as good its way better in my opinion, and it works great in ebb n flow or dwc it does NOT clog pumps or filters and doesnt stain your res, just a quick wipe n spray and ready to refill... ive used other brands like B.C , fox farm and others even advanced G.H. IS THE BEST FOR THE PRICE AND QUALITY YIELDS...

AS FOR ADITIVES...i only use mad farmer N.U.T.S. its fulvic and humic acids, koolbloom but only the powder form and only during the last 2 weeks of flower..and finally gh kleen for cleaning and flushing...there are soo many aditives on the market you could go crazy looking at them, personally i think they are a waste of money,, ive tried some and did comparisons and nothing increaced my yield or flavor.. i even did comparison with and without koolbloom and mad farmer nuts,, both of them really do work.. right now im trying a carbohydrate and it looks like i wasted money on it so far,,carbomax,,NOT LOOKING GOOD!

I used GH for 20 years, started dabbling with floranova 10 years ago, started trying Dynagrow 2-3 years ago. I have been doing side by side comparisons for the last couple years with all three and they have all been close but the Dynagrow usually yielded a hair more. The last time the Dynagrow blew the other two away so this time there is no more side by side comparisons, it's all dyna gro foliar pro. You should try some side by side comparisons if possible. If you are using flood table then probably not possible.

I use jacks hydro along with calcium nitrate at a 3:2 ratio in both veg and flower. its a combo of easy and cheap. i mix about 500 gallons of nutrient solution a week and still only spend about 400 a year.... the flora nova i was spending twice that easy.

Nice!
I have no excuse for why I have never tried dynagrow. I mean, It has been on the shelves for about as long as the floranova(if I remember correctly)
I've Dam near tried everything else though! Lol.
I'm gonna run a side-by-side with it, to finally check it out(sometime soon lol)
I used to experiment a hell of a lot more when I was younger, thats for sure:-D

Yeah, i've used the maxi series many many times since it came out. Great results. I just get tired of putting it in a jug with hot water, shaking the shit out of it, before i add to reservoirs. It gets old. But guess what, i'll be doing that again real soon, for quite a while:-D

The only dynagrow i'm interested in trying is the foliage pro.

i only did comparisons in bloom, i used the dyna grow bloom once and the foilliar pro once to. i mixi my maxi in a 5 gal bucket with a paint stirrer that ataches to my drill and only use cold water after 5-10 seconds of stiring its gone and if a chunck is on the bottom i break it up with a piece of 1/2''pvc with an end cap then stir for 5 more seconds always, always works
