Attitude Kush strains.

Good morning RIU. . . I seriously hate to make a thread like this but I need the help. I've got my other beans picked out, But I'm still looking for a kush strain. . I've had bad luck with Skywalker og, Burmese kush, and og 18... then again I only bought maybe 2 seeds of each. .

Anyways, I'm looking for a more indica "style" growing kush. The high is irrelevant.. But it would ideally have that pine/fuel rich taste and smell. . . Of course another taste smell is fine too as long as it is extremely present while smoking. Yield is also somewhat important. It doesn't have to be the biggest yielder, but I'd like her to have some weight to her.

So if you know of any kush strain on attitude that is RELIABLE in terms of genetics and fits the criteria, please, share your strains.

I guess I'll sum it up....

The kush must have.,..
1.) Extreme smell and taste
2.) Average to high yields
3.) Extreme potency
4.) Indica style growth- (no super lanky strains... preferably S.O.G. suitable.)
5.) Reliable genetics (don't need 30 seeds to get a keeper)

If you have experience with multiple kush strains from attitude, share them here.

Here's a short list of some of the ones I'm interested in, just not sure of the reliability in genetics...

Cali connections seed
~ deadhead og
~ 818 headband
~ tahoe og
~ Larry og
~ jedi kush

Reserva privada
~ og kush
~ og 18
~ kosher kush
~ kandy kush

All of those sound great, but I've heard awful things about both companies so I'm kinda sketched out about them.

TGA seeds
~ conspiracy kush
~ Mickey kush
~ marionberry kush
~ Jesus og

I've grown tga so I know they'll be dank, but these are all hybrids of kush strains, not full on kush. Plus I seriously doubt the yield is up to par... could be wrong..

Again, any insight or knowledge is much appreciated.

What an unusual request?

So you only used 2 beans from each and you were expecting?? Try 10 or 20 of each. Seeds are not like proven clones and you will find many from seed not worth your time. Try more seeds, You'll get a better chance of finding one worth your space.
Fems would increase your chances of finding a good one. (reg's I prefer overall)
If you want a heavier yielder try hybrids of kush. Most are hybrids anyway. Yield and kush are not one and the same. Kush usually is a lower yield.

Had good results with snow high's General Ho (Abusive OG X Burmese sativa)
Chem Dog has a good yield if you can get the clone.
Bodhi is a good place to look as well.
Sensistar might also be a good place to start.
Find others that have actually done the strain, read their reviews and then pick what speaks to you about the smell and effect. The reason I went for the General ho was the burmese sativa aspect. Looking for a trait of anti anxiety found in the burmese strain and will search for the one that speaks to me. One I found so far was extremely frosty like gg4 and smells good. The amount of crystal is amazing. CIMG0499.JPGCIMG0607.JPG

JOTI Purple Kush was a great kush for me, still running her. I didnt really think much of her at first, so I didnt take clones. After words I was pissed I didnt, so I revegged. I havethe revegged plant in flower and I have 6 cuts in veg.

Another one that I am very very happy with right now is World of Seeds Landrace Afghan Kush. Have 2 in flower and oh my, these will be the heaviest yielding kush I have ever grown! Very nice plants

One of the last buds I have left of my last 818 Headband harvest. I have been working with this strain for over a year now, and it is my favorite. I started 20 seeds and had 6 phenos that were all keepers out of 12 females. This was my #3 that was what i felt the best in all categories (smell, taste, yield, bag appeal, potency).I have only grown this and reserva privada sour OG for the last 6 months. I will be letting the sour og go though, and will now only be growing 818. 10334274_10152053037305846_6636526882655974216_n.jpg

I did not like the OG 18, granted I grew it out after everyone said it had turned to shit. It was a massive yielder but just shit taste, smell and look. here is a trim day pic from last december.

I understand the concept of pheno hunting, no need for the lecture. Those strains I said I've already tried were freebies. That's why I only had 1 or 2 of each. BUT, even the 1 or 2 freebies of non kush heritage strains, they usually Come out to be somewhat of a decent plant and smoke. . So I was just dissapointed in the kush strains. Partially why I made this thread, to find a good breeder and strain.
I've read, read, and read some more. I like cali connections options but I keep reading of hermies, and lack of customer service. While others swear by them.

Anyways, I appreciate the strain suggestions, I'll most definitely look into them and see if they'd be something I'd like.

Nice to hear. . What do you expect the flowering length to be on those Afghan ladies? And could you describe the plant structure? That would be awesome.

This is plant structure that I got in my 8x8 3.6k room last fall. from left to right-818 #5 pheno, 818# 3 pheno, OG #18.

Thanks for the pictures, they always speak louder than words. That number 3 pheno does without a doubt have the stout structure I'm looking for, at least compared to the other two ladies...
Just to be clear, you haven't had any problems with hermies from CC seeds have you?

Just checked the price and a 10 pack of reg Afghan kush is only $35 !!! Now that's a steal in itself. Definitely going to add it to the list. Could definitely be a great breeding prospect.

Out of 12 females not 1 "hermie". "Hermies" are usualy stressed plants. Yes some genetics can be more stress sensitive but if you are doing all the little things right you usually wont have problems. The 818's I sprouted were also regular's and not feminized. Feminized seed are usually purposely induced "hermie" plants, so they are usually the variety that are more stress sensitive. Since regular seeds are produced by natural pollination, they are not as sensitive, but there are usually more phenotype's. It is my understanding that feminized seeds should be very close to a replica of the plant it comes from, so phenotypes seed to seed shouldn't very as much as regular seeds do. I am no breeding expert, and these are just things that I have heard over the years.

This is the source of a lot of what I just said. they talk about "hermies" 14 min in...

Exactly what I've understood from my time growing, but still see multiple posts referring to this issue of CC seeds. . . I have heard good stories as well, including yours, so I'll give them a try..
I know you said you enjoy the 818 headband the most, but out of curiosity, what others have you tried from CC?
The Jedi kush is said to be crossed with death star, (which originated from my area) So I have been lucky enough to smoke it. Still do actually. And its simply outstanding. That said I'm really interested In the Jedi in hopes to finding a Dstar dominant pheno.

Thats all i have ordered from them so far. They are running a new promo where you get a 10 pack of "California dreaming" and I think "Tahoe OG" if you order 2 packs. So I am going to order the Jedi Kush and Alien OG. I am also going to pick up some "Rug Burn OG" from rare dankness, which i have heard nothing but good things.

Here is another good video of breeders shooting the shit including swerve...

The sour og in my journal is now called sour kush by reserva privada, but is feminized. feel free to check it out in my journal. I recently accidentally destroyed my old laptop and phone, so i dont have any harvest pics of it.
