Oh hell I'm not even stoned and I'm messing up..

If I order another pack I'll get dead head for free....

What other cali connection would fit my criteria. I like the sounds of green crack but they only come in fem.
coreleone kush sounds like a great cross.

It does indeed... I'm looking at the Larry og though and it sounds similar as far as taste goes... I think I'll add it to the list, I'm a sucker for lemon tasting bus. They always seem to be the strongest most distinct/ remembered strains.

It is super lemony!!!!!!! My co-worker grows it, and it is the only weed I pay for!! Put you on your ass super fire! He was gifted a really good cut though, and is the same guy that gave me the Sour OG cut that I have going in my journal. I have a 818 group going into flower in a few weeks that i'm going to document on here, so stay tuned for that to see it in action.

Right on man, very good to hear. Hopefully I find a good pheno of her then!

Since we're on this kush subject though, do you have any advice on the growing methods for them? I'm hoping I can find some short stocky phenos from all of them, but givin the lanky natures of og (which is what swerve crosses everything with apparently lol) I'm thinking even the shorter ones of the bunch won't be well suited for S.O.G.
Am I better off mainlining and supercropping the girls into even bushes?

Nice to hear. . What do you expect the flowering length to be on those Afghan ladies? And could you describe the plant structure? That would be awesome.
I feel they will be average or so flowering time (8 weeks-ish). They are beastly growing plants. Structure is identical on the two, and the only difference between them is that one has leaves that look and feel like wax!

They are prob the tallest Kush I have run (excluding any OG crosses), but not streatchy. Very tight node spacing. I topped tge girls once and flipped to 12/12 when they were about 10" tall. They are being grown under a Solis Tek 400 watt 4K lamp, in 3 gallon air pots with sunshine mix #4 and Nectar for the Gods nutes. (This is my experiment cab, I have 5 different grow cabs at the moment)

With the 818 I find that topping twice and trellis netting helps keep the plant bushy and stout. The biggest thing I here from guys that I have gifted cuts to is that it gets a little lengthy for them, but it can be trained as you can see from the photo I posted before, and now that I trellis, I have 0 issues with it getting to lengthy.

Nice. The difference between your room and mine is that I'll be using a single 600w (2 rooms though, each with a 600)
So your lighting is a little better suited for nice bushes like the ones you have pictured...

Do you know how tall they were when you flipped to 12/12. ? Or how many weeks you vegged?
Just trying to get a good idea of what these ladies will do. Im use to short ladies. In fact I usually cut down any strains that get too tall...

Honestly most training methods effectively do the same thing.

I feel if I mainline for 8-16 colas, along with supercropping, I can manage the height to a reasonable degree. Of course this is all in theory and it'll depend on the strain and specific phenos. But regardless, I think that would keep the canopy low enough for the 600w to penetrate deep enough to avoid popcorn buds. We shall see!

In my current set up(all 4x8 tents, no more 8x8 room) and pruning style the 818 will go from a 8" clone to 2.5' plant in 4-5 weeks, In flower it will stop vertical growth around 4-4.5'

Holy hell. She grows 2' in 5 weeks... I'll make it work.lol

Well this is good info to have, so thanks Mick. You've been a real help... looking forward to trying these strains and growing some top shelf nuggets. I'll be looking for that journal of yours.

No problem buddy!

That's in a 4x8 tent with 1200w of MHC light though. I am very lucky to have a p/t job with one of the largest hydro chains in my state. I paid less than 4k for all the equipment to run 2 2400w 4x8 tent set ups, and a 1200w 4x8 veg tent. I also inherited a house in FL that I sold to fund my set-up, so i cant say that I worked too hard to make any of this happen like so many other people. I am obsessed (like borderline psychotic) with what I do, and am always trying to learn and get better.

Good morning RIU. . . I seriously hate to make a thread like this but I need the help. I've got my other beans picked out, But I'm still looking for a kush strain. . I've had bad luck with Skywalker og, Burmese kush, and og 18... then again I only bought maybe 2 seeds of each. .

Anyways, I'm looking for a more indica "style" growing kush. The high is irrelevant.. But it would ideally have that pine/fuel rich taste and smell. . . Of course another taste smell is fine too as long as it is extremely present while smoking. Yield is also somewhat important. It doesn't have to be the biggest yielder, but I'd like her to have some weight to her.

So if you know of any kush strain on attitude that is RELIABLE in terms of genetics and fits the criteria, please, share your strains.
Bruh....Chem 91 SK VA from Cali Connection.....SUPER DANK!!! GREAT YIELD!!!!! Im getting 3-4 oz per plant EASILY!!!! It's probably easily the best I've grown and I've grown Tahoe OG, OG 18, pre-98 bubba, white fire OG, 818 Headband and more....91 chem outperforms ALL of these

Glad to see someone else chime in. I appreciate it! !

That's good to know though for sure. What was the plant structure like? Stretchy when flowered? And since you have grown 91 chem, Tahoe, headband and Larry og, would you mind comparing them for me. Just the structure of them along with yield, taste etc.. just trying to figure out the ones I want. Thanks man.

Any of you guys tried seedism seeds? They seem to have goo reviews from growers. Goo yield, good taste and potent...
I was looking specifically at the strain BLZ (g13 x silver haze x trainwreck)........
Also killawatt, super sour kush, and applejack all sound good.

There is a slight stretch, but its a good stretch, not anything out of control. I would say maybe a stretch of 1.5-2 feet? The best thing about the chem 91 is that buds grow all the way down the colas so the stretch is a good thing. Honestly this is the best structured plant I've grown besides Delahaze and Master Kush. Them chem 91 is everything I want in a plant. Great yield structure, moderate flowering time(she's ready at 9 weeks but let her go 10 and she gains lots of weight). I have not grown the Larry OG, but compared to the 818 the Chem 91 kicks its ass. I did a journal on my 818 Headband, but somehow the pics got erased, anyways the pheno of 818 I had was killer, but she didn't yield for me I was getting a little less than 2 zips per plant. Tahoe was a low yielder as well...as far as taste man I would have to say the 818 tastes the best. I couldn't even tell you how the Chem tastes though bruh. There have been times where it tastes like OG, garlic, petroleum and soap...shits weird lol. I attatched pics of my Chem though. The first two pics are bud pics from chem 91 clones at a 10 week harvest. Last pic is of the original chem plant that I grew from seed right before I harvested her at 9 weeks

hmmm

I had 12 females of 818 and not one yielded less than 3oz. With the best 6 of them getting 4-5oz each. How many beans you pop and what is your room like?

Yeah, I only planted one fem seed of the 818 and she didn't stretch at all man the journal I made is still on here, but the pics are gone I wish I could show you. Everyone else says their 818 got pretty big though, but mine wouldn't yield for shit. Back then I was growing in a Homebox L, I think its like 36x36x72 or something, and I was using a 600w HPS in DWC hell to make it worse I even vegged her under the 600 lol

I went with regular seeds, but I did have a customer at the shop complain about the fem version he got not yielding for shit.
